Don’t Miss TV: 3/19 - 3/23

It’s another week of shows coming at you and where here to help. Here’s a break down by night of what you need to be sure to catch and what’s going on:

Monday:
24: 9-10pm on Fox; It’s now to 7pm in “24″ land. Jack has to deal with “devastating news” (that’s not vague, right?). While Wayne is out of commision the Vice-President is getting trigger happy with his new powers. But will he go too far?? Will he?!

Heroes: Heroes is off until mid-April.

Dancing with the Stars: 8-10pm on ABC; I’ve never gotten into this show, but I’m kinda interested in seeing how Heather Mills does with her “leg”.

Tuesday:
American Idol: 8-10pm on Fox; Brandon Rogers went home last week, so there are only 11 left. All of them will be performing 60’s British pop songs.

Wednesday:
American Idol: 9-9:30pm on Fox; We’ll find out who will be the second of the final 12 to go home. [Sanjaya already!]

Survivor: 8-9pm on CBS; This season Jeff and the gang are in Fiji. Anyone still watching? Richard Hatch probably has plenty of time these days.

Lost: 10-11pm on ABC; Okay, so now THIS week is when we’re supposed to find out how Locke ended up in the wheelchair. Ben is going to reveal island secrets to bribe Locke from destroying their camp (from the preview I don’t think he accepts).

Thursday:
My Name is Earl: 8-9pm on NBC; An entire hour of this show might be too much for me. The boys head south to find and rescue Catalina.

Andy Barker, P.I.: 9:30-10pm on NBC; This will be the second episode in the series. The first wasn’t great, but it could have some potential once they get past laying the foundation and working on the real story.

Raines: 10-11pm on NBC; I still had the TV on following Andy Barker last week so I went ahead and watched this. It wasn’t really what I expected, nor was it bad. Goldblum doesn’t see ghosts really, just his imagination projects them to his crime scenes. So he can ask them a question, but they only know what he knows (cause they’re in his head). It was okay, but I’d be surprised to see it last more than 2 seasons.

Friday:
Miss USA: 9-11pm on NBC; Tara Conner is handing off her crown to the next winner. So I guess this frees her up to doing what it is that gets her in so much hot water.

The Soup: 10-10:30 on E!; This is a great show that recaps the week’s entertainment news and non-news with great commentary by Joel McHale. He’s the supervisor character from those Burger King commercials set in an office. Don’t let that discourage you though, he’s really funny.

Check back here on Friday for my Weekend Movie Preview Lineup to see what your options will be.

Okay, that’s my set of Don’t Miss Shows for this week, March 19th-23rd.

Have another show to add? Send me a message and let me know what else you think should be on this list.

I am totally digging 24 and Prison Break tonight. But the show I really want to watch is Heroes. That sucks we have to wait till mid April.

Forget it! I will just go to You Tube and get it now!

Don’t forget House on Tuesday night!

I really feel that the writers of Lost haven’t given John Locke a lot of credit. First, he doesn’t push a button and a hatch implodes. Then, he decides to push a button and another hatch explodes. Talk about being unlucky.

Sounds like they aren’t writing in his favor.

@Corey: Prison Break and House, eh? I will add those to the list. I’ve only ever watched 1 episode of House, though my friends talk it up a lot. As far as Prison Break I totally missed the boat on that one. I’m wondering how long they can keep it going though w/ that story line. I heard at one point they were thinking of changing the title to “Manhunt” since the storyline had changed. But probably a good idea to stick w/ the name that everyone knows already.

Can you really get the next episode of Heroes on YouTube?! That’s sweet. Let me know if you find it. I’ve really enjoyed how NBC.com had all the old Heroes episode online for free. The quality is excellent and you only have to deal with 1 commercial between each part.

@Manthem: Good call. Locke and buttons haven’t gone together very well each season. Maybe a button is what got him in a wheelchair! Well I think he’s got more explosions coming his way Wednesday night from what the preview showed. I still think Locke was/is one of the coolest characters (better than whiny Charlie for sure) and I agree that they haven’t done him a lot of justice. Maybe they’ll come back to him being the visionary leader that he started as in season 1.
