“Tonight we hit single digits.” That’s right Seacrest, tonight we’ll lose the first of American Idol Season 6’s top 10. If you missed last night’s top 10 performances, take a look back at what you missed. This week’s musical coach is Gwen Stefani, so she’ll be performing tonight along with Akon. Earlier today I posted my prediction that Chris Sligh would be going home. Let’s see if I do better this week than last time around.
Before we get to our bottom three voted contestants we are subjected to the usual Ford/American Idol musical video-mercial. This time around the top 10 are singing “I Fought the Law”. Unfortunately, I don’t think anyone’s going to come out as a winner from this. Now, on to the first two of our bottom three tonight. The first contestant to come out to the stage is… Phil Stacey. I’m surprised by that actually. I thought Nosferatu Phil had a top grade performance last night. Now they’re to Sanjaya and.. he’s safe, big surprise. But this doesn’t look good for who is seated next to him, Haley Scarnato. Sure enough, Haley Scarnato is the second contestant in the bottom three tonight.
Gwen Stefani and her pal Akon is coming out to perform their new song, “The Sweet Escape”. The performance is pretty good, but come on Acorn, it’s 2007 so how about you pull up your pants? I’m glad Gwen Stefani has decided to come back from spelling fruits and singing actual songs.
Now we’re down to our third and final contestant to join Phil Stacey and Haley Scarnato on stage. Is it Chris Sligh or Gina Glocksen?? It is… Chris Sligh. The judges are given a chance to predict the contestant sent home tonight. Randy and Paula both punt this one with useless commentary, but good ol’ Simon steps out and agrees with me, “bye bye Curly”. The contestant voted off tonight is… Chris Sligh. Hah! I’m finally right. No brainer though, with boots like that, how could anyone send Haley home??

That’s it. The Fro Patro is officially No Mo’. Or should I have said, America has sent Chubby back?
Once again America, you didn’t surprise me, but you did let me down. Please, end the suffering and support: American Idol Charity - Save the Children.
