May the force be with… the post office? Yes thats right your beloved deliverer of Christmas cards, bills, and junk mail is bringing you Star Wars Stamps! I suppose if their going to up the price again, thats the least they can do. There are 15 stamps in the collection spanning all 6movies, from Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker to Princess Amidala and Darth Maul. You can even vote for your favorite stamp. Although, they really don’t make it clear why you would want to. And beware, for I am now a Jedi Shipping & Mailing Master! You too can become a Jedi Shipping & Mailing Master, just take the online “test”. The test involves a couple of easy Star Wars trivia questions and a ton of weak promotional questions involving two-day priority mail to the Dagobah system as an example. I guess if you’re a stamp collector or a absolute Star Wars fanatic you’ll be rushing to your nearest post office to pick up a sheet or three. I’m a Star Wars fan, and I do think this is kinda cool that Star Wars has become a big enough part of American culture that it warrants a set of stamps but, this is one of the lamest promotions ever. What’s next? American Idol stamps? I wouldn’t pay $0.41 for a Sanjaya stamp.
