It’s another week of shows coming at you and where here to help. Here’s a break down by night of what you need to be sure to catch and what’s going on this week, April 2 - April 6:
Monday:
24: 9-10pm on Fox; It’s now to 9pm in “24″ land. Jack interrogates Gredenko and tries to get him to lead CTU to Fayed, while VP Daniels invokes the 25th Amendment and calls for a Cabinet vote on Wayne Palmer’s fitness to be president.
Prison Break: 8-9pm on Fox; As the second season concludes, Michael races against the clock to rescue Linc and beat Mahone at his own game. Meanwhile, Sucre risks everything to save Maricruz. T-Bag and Bellick find themselves up a river in Panama; and in Chicago, Kellerman testifies in Sara’s trial.
Dancing with the Stars: 8-10pm on ABC; This will be the third round of the competition and the dancing will be the jive and the tango.
Tuesday:
American Idol: 8-9pm on Fox; Chris Sligh went home last week and so we are left with our American Idol 2007 Season 6 Top 9. This week’s musical coach is Tony Bennett. Bennett should provide a very different feel from the past couple of weeks.
House: 9-10pm on Fox; A pregnant 42-yr old celebrity photographer suffers a stroke while shooting a rock star and soon her kidneys and liver begin to fail as well. House suspects the fetus is the culprit, but the mother won’t hear of an abortion and Cuddy backs her unequivocally. Meanwhile, House decides he wants to take a vacation; and Cuddy has a word with Cameron about her relationship with Chase.
Dancing with the Stars: 9-10pm on ABC; The third round results are in!
Wednesday:
American Idol: 9-9:30pm on Fox; We’ll find out who will be the second of the top 10 to go home. [Sanjaya already!] Also, Tony Bennett will be performing live.
Lost: 10-11pm on ABC; Last week was a completely useless attempt by the writers to be Alfred Hitchcock. We got nothing on what happened following Locke blowing up the submarine and his father (the kidney stealer) showing up on the island. So now Kate will be betrayed by another survivor and must escape with Juliet. Then back at the beach, Hurley warns Sawyer to change his selfish ways or face banishment. I think Sawyer should beat the crap out of Hurley and banish him instead. This season’s Sawyer is nothing like the previous seasons.
Thursday:
Survivor: Fiji: 8-9pm on CBS; The castaways participate in a dance competition for reward. Then another person will be sent home. What? A dance competition?!
CSI: 9-10pm on CBS; Greg learns that the brother of the man he killed in self-defense months earlier is connected to the shooting death of a thug in a limousine.
The Office: 8-8:40pm on NBC; Back with New Episodes! When Darryl corners Michael about a pay increase, the meeting compels Michael to scrutinize his own salary. Meanwhile, Pam’s confession to Roy impacts Jim. No kidding. Roy was in Rage Mode in the last episode, so this should be interesting.
30 Rock: 8:40-9:20pm on NBC; Even better, 30 Rock is back with new episodes!! A potential buyer coup unfolds when a conniving Left Coast network honcho makes a determined play for Jack’s job. Meanwhile, Tracy is served with paternity papers; and Liz and Pete adapt to living and working together.
Andy Barker, P.I.: 9:50-10:25pm on NBC; Andy’s Laptop is stolen while he is filing a tax return, and his attempts to get it back lead him to an extortion scam involving one of Lew’s former clients.
Friday:
Raines: 9-10pm on NBC; Raines looks into the personal life of a murdered drug dealer and learns he was an aspiring artist hoping to leave his past behind. Meanwhile (it’s always meanwhile), Raines becomes concerned about Charlie’s son, who is having trouble dealing with his father’s death.
The Soup: 10-10:30 on E!; This is a great show that recaps the week’s entertainment news and non-news with great commentary by Joel McHale. He’s the supervisor character from those Burger King commercials set in an office. Don’t let that discourage you though, he’s really funny.
Check back here on Friday for my Weekend Movie Preview Lineup to see what your options will be.
Okay, that’s my set of Don’t Miss Shows for this week, April 2 - April 6.
