“America’s Favorite Ballroom”
This week there are three couples on the bubble:
1. Clyde Drexler & Elena Grinenko (Score: 13)
2. Billy Ray Cyrus & Karina Smirnoff (Score: 17)
3. John Ratzenberger & Edyta Sliwinska (Score: 18)
If any other couple other than one of these three heads home it will be a complete shock.
Clyde has consistently been the worst of these three. He doesn’t seem to really care. He can’t dance smoothly to save his life. Carrie Ann blatantly referred to him last night as the, “…worst dancer in the competition.” I have to agree. Even the basketball fans out there can’t be enough to keep him in. Clyde will go tonight and if he doesn’t then Clyde ‘Sanjaya’ Drexler may be a big problem for some weeks to come.
Despite getting the second lowest score last night, Billy Ray has put in at least one decent performance before. Combine that with the fact that he’s popular, good looking, and the judges felt that he at least really tried this week, and my money is on Billy Ray surviving to dance another week. If he survives this week though, he won’t last long especially now with the increasing demands on his schedule.
I like John (Go Cliffy!) but, really, not so great a dancer. He may not be as bad as Jerry Springer was last year, but he just doesn’t have the youth required to continue to compete with the other stars. Edyta is trying but, there is really only so much she can do. As I said, I believe Clyde will be taking the long walk tonight but, just on the off chance that he doesn’t John and Edyta would be my second choice.
