As this season of television is nearing to a close it’s time again for the networks to be looking down the road at the fall 2007 season, which means pilots time! It seems like there a lot of shows that got a little air time and then were canceled this season, so I imagine there are plenty of sits to fill come fall. I also surprised by the number of actors who are usually reserved for the big screen that are showing up in the lists I’ve seen.
Here’s a quick highlight of some of the potential Fall 2007 shows:
- ABC pilots & maybe-series:
- “Dirty Sexy Money” starring Peter Krause, William Baldwin, and Donald Sutherland
- “Marlowe” starring Jason O’Mara
- “Suspect” directed by Guy Ritchie
- “Football Wives” directed by Bryan Singer (insert joke here about him likely not being familiar with either)
- CBS pilots & maybe-series:
- “Viva Laughlin”, a musical starring Hugh Jackman and Jimmy Smits
- “Babylon Fields”, an apocalyptic dra-medy with Amber Tamblyn
- “The Man” with LL Cool J
- Fox pilots & maybe-series:
- “Action News” with Kelsey Grammer and Patricia Heaton
- “The Sarah Conner Chronicles”, which I discussed last week
- “Canterbury’s Law”, a legal drama starring Julianna Margulies
- NBC pilots & maybe-series:
- “Lipstick Jungle” is getting a second chance at life this season after a red light last year.
- “Winters” starring Famke Janssen
- “Business Class” with Mark Valley and Horatio Sanz (ugh, he’d be funny if he stopped laughing at his own jokes) as soda salesmen.
- “The Mastersons of Manhatten” starring Molly Shannon and Natasha Richardson as socialite sisters.
