The winner of the weekly contest is Corey over at MyRetirementProject.com. His guess of $16 million was the closest estimate actual top box office earner, Disturbia, with $9.1 million this weekend.
Congratulations to Corey!
This week’s round of our contest is now back open and with Spider-Man 3 coming out this weekend the box office earnings should be huge!
The Details:
So what’s the contest? Simple. Place your guess on what you think the top grossing movie will earn (just guess the dollar amount) at the box office this weekend. You don’t have to pick which movie, just guess the $ amount the top movie of the upcoming weekend will earn. The person who gets closest to the top box office amount will earn a link back for the rest of the week until the next winner is determined. The winner will be selected Sunday and you’ll be up on the site for the rest of the week.
Just enter your guess as a comment on this post.
Check out last week’s guesses to get an idea of how it all goes.

WOW, I thought it would be a slow weekend! Thanks for the link Matt!
Now for you movie history buffs. Spiderman 2 did roughly $88 million last year. So, I will go spot on with that and say that Spiderman 3 will do a remarkable amount of 88 times what I require to retire.

Excellent guess. I hope it makes at least that much. I’m pretty psyched about this one as it should be a nice, dark turn for Mr. Parker.
