“America’s Favorite Ballroom”

Last week, Heather and Jonathon were sent home. Leaving only six couples remaining:

Apolo & Julianne
Laila & Maksim
Joey & Kym
Ian & Cheryl
Billy Ray & Karina
John & Edyta (Go Cliffy!)

This week the couples again need to learn two dance routines: a ballroom dance and a latin dance. As time commitments begin to eat into the star’s practice time more and more this could have an even greater effect on the competition. John and Edyta especially need to step it up. They were in the bottom two again last week. John is trying but he just can’t keep up with the younger stars. Billy Ray likewise really needs to push it. He has been lucky to make it this far. hard work has been the only thing keeping him alive. Ian is the third star who needs to break out. As the field narrows he has to start doing more if he wants to stay in the competition. In his case it isn’t hard work but more feeling which is missing from his performances. If he can dance his judged routines, like he did during the group swing last week Ian & Cheryl would be strong contenders.

I’m torn over who to root for now. Heather who I was rooting against is gone (finally). I like both John (Go Cliffy!) and Billy Ray but they don’t have realistically have a chance. I like watching Apolo & Julianne but to be honest thats just because she is so hot. Laila & Maksim just don’t do it for me. I’d really like to see Ian step up and come from behind (I really like Cheryl) but frankly I’m not sure he really has it in him. Joey & Kym are probably my favorites at this point. They are entertaining, they can actually dance, and Kym is hot so for me, they have the whole package. And now with Apolo & Julianne as the front runners, they even have a little bit of the underdog thing going for them.
