The Bachelor, An Officer and a Gentleman: Results and Review

Tonight yachts, diamonds, wine, and roses! Two more ladies are sent home by the bachelor.

Group Date 1: Stephanie, Amber, Tina, Tessa, Danielle, and Bevin
Andy went yachting with the ladies. So, Andy is sitting up in the bow with Stephanie, Amber, and Tina. They’re having a great time until Tina brings everything to a screeching halt by letting Andy know he has food in his teeth and then proceeds to pick it out. The other girls were bitter with Bevin when she suggested that the two of them go kayaking by themselves on a group date. All of the girls were starting to have trouble seeing other women spending time and flirting with the man they like. Poor Andy was also having a hard time having all the women together.

One-on-One Date 1: Stephanie
Stephanie received the first one-on-one date of the week. I thought that was cool because he hasn’t really spent lot of time with her. Stephanie They went on a wine-tasting/mixing date. (Thats my kind of date!) Andy and Stephanie created their own blend of wine and then got to paint the label themselves. However, when he tried to engage her to get her to open up she wasn’t really able to answer his questions about what she wanted for the future and Andy believes this has to do with her age (23). I wonder if she’s getting a rose?

Group Date 2: Amber, Bevin, Tina, Danielle
Andy and the girls went to visit an elementary school in Hollywood to refurbish a play area for the kindergarteners. ABC didn’t really stretch on this one. An elementary school in Hollywood? Maybe they should have headed someplace they really could make a difference, like East L.A. In any case, Andy finally spent a little time talking with Danielle. Tina and Amber also got some time with Andy. Andy said he likes Tina because she is mature and serious but, they still haven’t made a connection yet. She’d still in the mansion but, I don’t think she has a chance to win. She and Andy haven’t connected on a romantic level at all. When the kids came out it was a good opportunity for Andy and the girls to see how they are around children. They should do this every season. Andy was happy to see how well Bevin did because he wasn’t sure how she would be around children. Amber impressed him the most with the kids (surprise she’s a teacher).

Bevin was very upset that she didn’t get either One-on-One date. She has never had the chance to tell Andy that she is divorced and now she won’t before they go to her hometown. I don’t really buy this. Bevin has had more alone time with Andy than any two other girls put together. It seems to me, she might have worked that little tid bit in somewhere. Bevin was also decided she didn’t want to be with a man who was interested in 23 year olds like Amber and Stephanie. She then proceeded to totally break down because she couldn’t deal with Andy’s dating other women. The whole situation made her feel desperate and pathetic. Then towards the end of the episode she packs her bags to go. What a drama queen. She was a favorite before tonight. Now, Andy needs to send her packing.

One-on-One Date 2: Tessa
I’m glad Andy did his after he practically begged Tessa to stay last week. When Andy picked up Tessa for the date he brought her a set of diamond jewelry worth millions to wear on their date. Of course ABC set it up so that he presented her with the jewelry in front of the other girls. Andy took Tessa dress shopping first and then to dinner. By the end of the date, Tessa still had some reservations but, she felt much more secure than she did last week.

Rose Ceremony:
At the pre-ceremony cocktail party, Bevin of course managed to find time to kiss Andy at the cocktail party. Andy said he always feels a charge with Bevin. Andy made some interesting comments. He said he sees Danielle as more of a friend. He didn’t like Stephanie’s responses to his questions about her future. He and Tessa looked quite comfortable together since their One-on-One date. At this point if Tessa doesn’t get the proposal I’ll be shocked.

Rose

Roses:
1. Bevin
2. Amber
3. Tessa
4. Danielle

The girls who did not receive a rose were:
1. Stephanie
2. Tina

Stephanie Tina

Next week: Andy heads to the girl’s hometowns to meet their parents. Bevin will finally lets Andy in on her dirty little secret. Amber has some issues with her mother during Andy’s visit.
