Looks like we could have a stinker of a vampire flick on our hands here. Lucy Liu returns to the big screen in yet another ‘vampire seeking revenge against the vampires that made her’ movie. Liu has already established herself as a great action movie star with Charlie’s Angels (yeah, not a great movie, but still good action) and, of course, Kill Bill Vol I. So what does a movie like Rise: Blood Hunter have to offer? Well, let’s see:

The Plot: After she wakes up in a morgue and discovers she’s now one of the undead, reporter Sadie Blake (Liu) hunts for the people responsible for her death and rebirth.

I get the feeling the producers are applying the ol’ method of making up for a lacking script with as many scantly clad ladies as you can fit into the 90 minutes of run time. Well done, you’ve nearly earned my $9.75. Oh I still think it looks pretty weak, but did I mention the scantly clad ladies?
