“America’s Favorite Ballroom”

Last week, John and Edyta left the show (sorry Cliffy.). Here are tonight’s five remaining couples:

Joey & Kym
Laila & Maksim
Apolo & Julianne
Ian & Cheryl
Billy Ray & Karina

This week the couples will be performing two individual routines: a Cha-Cha and another Latin dance. Billy Ray & Karina are the obvious front runners to go home this week. He has been a weak performer throughout the competition and they were the other couple in the bottom two last week. Their scores from the judges have been so low that it is only the support from Billy Ray’s fan base that has kept them in the competition this long. If they don’t really push it this week I can’t imagine they won’t go home. The other couple who is in danger this week are Ian & Cheryl. While, their scores have never been low enough for them to end up in the bottom two before but, they have never been in the same ball park as the other three couples.

At this point I’m still rooting for Joey and Kym. They are without a doubt the couple that has entertained me the most during the competition. While I am tempted to root for Apolo and Julianne, I know this has more to do with watching Julianne dance than watching them dance as a couple (if you know what I mean). I do think that Laila & Maksim have a real shot at winning, they’ve never really done it for me.
