My wife’s brother, Ryan, is what some would call a modern Michaelangelo when it comes to using MS Paint. As such, he has crafted this fine piece of art which represents the emotions evoked in him by the Spider-Man 3 movie. I’m just glad to see I wasn’t the only one who thought it stunk like a pile of…

Jessica Simpson’s New Movie: Oh The Horror | Wild Bluff Media : Entertainment Examined
May 11th, 2007 at 9:00 am[...] Instead, their new movie is entitled, “Blonde Ambition”, and looks to be the biggest piece of crap since Spider-Man 3. Considering how wildly unpopular her last romantic-comedy was (Employee of the Month), it seems [...]

Awe…c’mon, it wasn’t THAT bad. It didn’t compare with the other two, but it was a heck of a lot better than some of the choices we’ve had this year.

I just felt let down after the previous two in the series. There was just too much in there that shouldn’t have been. It could have gone from 2.5 hours to 1 hour by cutting out the scenes like Harry and MJ making an omelet and dancing to The Twist for 5 minutes, or that terrible jazz club scene. They even dared to go back and rewrite Spider-Man 1 and reshoot scenes to fit in new characters for minimal gain.
Sadly, I do feel it was that bad. I almost cried as much as the characters on screen. The action was entertaining and I’d watch it again if it could get a 1 hour edited version that was just action. I own the other two, but won’t be buying this one.

Was it that long? I knew it was long, but a lot of movies have been getting longer nowadays. I would have to say that Ultraviolet was a worse movie than this, in my own humble opinion.

Yeah, it was 2h20m. You’re right, they really do seem to stretch them out now.
I totally missed Ultraviolet, but after hearing how terrible it was I did add it to my Netflix queue. Was it good action but bad story, or just plain bad in all directions? Aeon Flux looked like another one that was likely as bad as Ultraviolet, so I put in my queue, of course, because I’m a glutton for punishment.

I got both Ultraviolet and Aeon Flux at the same time and watched Aeon Flux first. It wasn’t bad at all. Ultraviolet was short on story and long on action, but almost all the action was CGI. Had they toned that down a little, it would have been a much better film.

Excellent news on Aeon Flux. The cartoon was so slick with its style that I was worried how they’d be able to pull it off as a real movie. I might just have to give that a bump up on my queue then.
Thanks for the recommendation.
