“America’s Favorite Ballroom”

Tonight’s Results show decides which four couples will be in the semi-finals next week. They’re making a big deal about the Semi-finals but to be honest I’m not sure how this is different than just another week with four couples instead of five. American Idol is now down to four finalists, so is this week the Semi-finals of American Idol? They did address the exchange of words between Billy Ray and When Tom and Samantha spoke with Billy Ray and Karina, Billy Ray claimed to be over last night’s harsh words from the judges, like when Bruno called their performance “crap”. Realistically, what else is he going to say though? The judges gave Apolo and Julianne the encore tonight for their Paso Doble which was expected since they received the only perfect score last night. Their performance was brilliant and they deserved it.

This weeks filler:
Nelly Furtado performed two songs, I’m like a bird and All Good Things which I actually enjoyed. I really wasn’t very familiar with her before tonight’s show. I guess she is big on the international scene. Best of all, she was way more attractive than Meatloaf. They had a “dance off” between Maksim and his little brother which wasn’t so much of a dance off as just a performance with four dancers which included the two of them. Jimmy Kimmel did his bit on the waltz this week with a guest appearance from Master P. When they were showing the audience reaction to last night’s show was that Scary Spice I saw?

Going home: Billy Ray & Karina
I had predicted it was going to be Billy Ray & Karina going home. His fans helped keep him in for a long time but they just couldn’t overcome his dancing. The shock for tonight was that Joey & Kym were in the bottom two. Their performance was way better than Laila & Maksim and Ian & Cheryl. Joey’s fans need to step next week and help a brother out.
