David Benioff has been asked by Walt Disney Pictures to begin script work on “Gemini Man”, a long awaited and often re-worked action film that has yet to really get out of the gates. The storyline looks to follow an over-the-hill hitman forced to do battle with a younger clone of himself. Hmm… saucy. It actually sounds kinda cool, but I swear, if Disney goes and puts Nicolas Cage in that damn thing… Grrr.

“Gemini Man” is set to be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer while Mike Stenson and Chad Oman will be the executive producers. These guys are veterans in the movie industry and should have no problem pulling together an excellent action flick. Now if they can just get that script going…

Over the years, a number of writers have been linked with the project, including “Armageddon” and “Next” scribe Jonathan Hensleigh.

Ahh! There’s Nic Cage’s last movie, “Next”. Phew, with Hensleigh getting bumped from the project maybe we our odds have improved at getting out of this cage. Oh geez, that was bad.
