The Daily Mail ran some not so flattering photos of Melanie Griffith this week at the premiere of Shrek the Third. No, she wasn’t there as the live action ogre himself, though she nearly could have pulled it off. Instead she was there to support her husband, Antonio Banderas, who stars again as the voice of Puss in Boots.

Despite her husband’s claims that he wants her to “grow old naturally, wrinkles and all,” Melanie seems to be taking another approach. I’ve gotta agree with Banderas here. Melanie always had a lot of natural beauty and she should stick to that. Clearly she’s getting a lot of work done these days and it doesn’t look good. The Joan Rivers look is not something you should be aiming at here. I think Rivers has been dead for thirteen years now, but she continues to get that work done and doesn’t seem ready to quit.
