Survivor Fiji

Early Plotting:
There actually wasn’t a lot of early plotting this episode. With only six contestants left and five of them together in an alliance it wasn’t hard to figure out who’s head was going to be on the chopping block. Earl, Cassandra, Yau-man, Stacey, and Dreamz all agreed that Boo should go home next. Of course they decided that last week too but, Boo had Immunity. Boo was sneaking through the weeds spying on them. I’m not sure why, it isn’t like he has anyone to plot with against the other five.

Reward Challenge:
As soon as they got the clue, Dreamz was convinced the reward was a car and he wanted it bad. He was right, it turned out to be a Ford F-350 pick-up truck plus the winner gets to chose who goes to Exile Island. The reward challenge was broken up into to halves. For the first half, the players were broken up into two teams of three and tied together. The teams then had to navigate an obstacle course consisting of a set of see-saw balance beams, a cargo net tower, and finally a sandbox. An axe was buried in the sandbox. The first team to dig up the axe and cut the rope won. The winning team would get to take a box of school supplies and mobile office to a nearby school in the truck, and then have a picnic lunch with the children. Members of the winning team then had to compete individually to win Reward. The individual competition was an axe throwing contest. Players took turns throwing an axe. the first player to cut both of his ropes wins Reward.

Orange Team: Yau-man, Stacy, & Boo
Green Team: Cassandra, Earl, & Dreamz

When the competition began it looked as though the Green Team had it in the bag. Yau had big problems on see-saws and had to repeat them 3 times before he made it across. The Green Team couldn’t find the axe so the Orange Team was able to catch up with them in the sandbox. Boo found hatchet and Yau cut line, allowing the Orange Team to move on to the individual round.

In the individual competition Boo cut a rope on the first try. But you know who won, Yau-man of course! Yau had himself a nice pick-up truck. Yau isn’t really a pick-up kinda guy. So in Survivor history making move, he decides to negotiate with Dreamz. Yau-man offers Dreamz the truck and in return Dreamz promises that if both of them are in the final four and Dreamz wins Immunity he will give it to Yau-man. Dreamz wanted that truck bad. He agreed in a heartbeat. I liked this move. Then Yau selected himself to go to exile island which was an interesting move. By selecting himself, he doesn’t piss anyone else off and he gets the third clue to the second hidden immunity idol.

It seems Yau made a smart move but whether Dreamz will keep his word or not is another story. Yau-man believes he will. Dreamz quickly agreed and Jeff gave him the truck but after thinking it through, Dreamz decides that by getting rid of Yau before the final four he gets the truck and doesn’t have to give Yau Immunity if he wins it. Dreamz was convinced that he would be gone if he did and he’s probably right. Dreamz talked to Cassandra about getting rid of Yau. Cassandra was willing to consider it but she thinks Boo is too big a threat because he is physically more likely to keep winning immunity.

Immunity Challenge:
For the Immunity challenge, players had to throw a ball at the end of a rope through a hoop to pull down a balance beam once across the beam the winners move on to the next round. There were three rounds. With the top four competing in round 2 and the top 2 competing in Round 3. In the third round after lowering and crossing their balance beam the players had to snag a buoy with a grappling hook. First player to pull in the buoy wins Immunity.

In Round 1 the 1st four to finish were Dreamz, Boo, Earl, and Yau-man. In Round 2 the 1st two to finish were Boo and Yau-man. thrid round. In the last round, Boo won Immunity again! Not good for the Yau-man.

Tribal Council:
Yau-man gave Earl the third clue to the second hidden immunity idol allowing Earl to find it. So now both Yau-man and Earl each have one. Dreamz talked to Cassandra and Stacy about getting rid of Yau-man. They were both agreed with Dreamz since Boo was no longer an option. Stacy and Dreamz worked on making Yau and Earl believe that they did not need to use their idols. Earl totally bought into it. Yau had bad vibes about what was going on. Dreamz is pretty cut throat, Even if voting out Yau would save him for a while I think that move would alienate the jury (especially with Yau on it). I think Stacy blew the plan by saying that the vote would be a split when Jeff was talking to her at tribal council. That sealed the deal for Yau-man. Yau-man is too smart for these guys. He played the hidden immunity idol.

I’ll tell you what, I don’t think I’d want to play poker with Yau. And, if they ever have another Survivor All-Stars Yau-man better be invited because he is just that good.

When Jeff tallied the votes, it was Stacy who was the next member of the jury: 3 votes Stacy.

I’m sorry Stacy the tribe has spoken.
