Tonight’s show would take us from 5 (Earl, Cassandra, Boo, Yau-man, & Dreamz) down to the final survivor.
Early Plotting
Earl told Cassandra that Yau was on his own and that Yau didn’t have the second hidden immunity idol. I’m not really sure Cassandra bought though. Yau knows he has to win immunity or join the jury.
Immunity Challenge
This was a tough one. The players were blind folded. Then they had to make their way through a maze to find a key station. At the key station the player’s needed to match the symbol on their medallion to one of the symbols on the station to determine which key was theirs. Then they had to find the draw bridge with the symbol that matches their medallion and use the key top release the draw bridge. The first person to find all five of their keys and lower all five of their drawbridges wins immunity. Yau was a driven man. He had a slight lead through out the entire race but, Boo and Dreamz were right behind him the whole way. In the end, Yau-man stuck it out and won immunity again, saving himself for another round.
Tribal Council
Out loud everyone was pretty much agreed that Boo was going home. Even Boo knew he was going home. Boo tried to talk Earl into voting out Dreamz instead. Dreamz was a threat because he would give Yau the idol if he won it in final four round. Boo thought that Earl would lose if it was just Yau and Earl in the final two but, if the final two was Boo and Earl, Earl would stand a better chance of winning. Earl agreed with Boo’s logic but not his plan. At Tribal Council, Boo laid it all out there on how the final four would go if he was voted out. I can’t say I thought he was wrong but it didn’t make a difference. When Jeff tallied the votes it was Boo who was voted out.

I’m sorry Boo the tribe has spoken
Final Four
The final four then did the reminiscence of the contestants who were voted off. I thought that was odd because in past seasons they usually wait until the final three to do this. This was the a clue to the surprise in store for the players after the next immunity Challenge. After they finished remembering their fallen comrades, the final four took the torches of the players voted out and said their final goodbyes by stacking them on a canoe and setting it alight like a Viking funeral.
Immunity Challenge
The survivors had to lie on angled blank over a pool of water and hold onto a bar over their head while, streaming water ran down the board to slippery. Then every 5 minutes Jeff increased the angle of plank making it harder for the survivors to hold on. I was interested to see how Dreamz would do competing since he had nothing to gain as he had promised to give the idol to Yau if he won it. Earl was smart he hung on near the edge so that he was on a dry part of the board. After 15 minutes Cassandra had to let go. Earl lost it after 20 minutes. Yau lost it two minutes later. Dreamz won immunity. He fought it out after it was only him and Yau. Before heading back to camp, the contestants were told that three of them would face the jury instead of the usual two.
Tribal Council
There was some major drama back at camp as everyone was wondering if Dreamz would give Yau-man the Immunity Idol. Since three players were going to the jury, if Dreamz kept immunity he would have a chance at the million. Dreamz was convinced that if he gave up the idol, he would be the one who would be voted off (and I’m pretty sure he was right). Yau was very nervous, although whenever asked, Yau said he thought Dreamz would give it over. Much to everyone’s surprise, Dreamz decided to keep the idol for himself. Now the question becomes will anyone on the jury vote for him after pulling this stunt?
When Jeff tallied the votes, Yau-man was voted out with three votes which means that not only did Dreamz not keep his word, he also voted for Yau-man. What a deceitful, backstabbing, jerk. I think Yau was even more upset that Earl voted for him after they had been friends for so long. Yau-man was the best player I’ve seen in several seasons. Yau should have won. I think we’ll see Yau again next time they have a Survivor All-Star season.

I’m sorry Yau-man the tribe has spoken
Jury
When the jury was brought in, each of the survivors was allowed to make an opening statement. Earl said that he had played an honest and clean game, no one ever voted for him once at tribal council, and even though he never won immunity, he made it to the final three. Cassandra explained how she was everybody’s friend. Dreamz mentioned his life story (of course) and just stated that everyone knew him and knew how he would use the money. I couldn’t believe, he made no mention of what he did to Yau. I think this was a strategic mistake. This was his chance to spin it his own way.
When it was time for the jury to ask their questions, here’s how it went down:
Michelle - Asked about how much they had to endure.
Edgardo - Asked Earl, “How did you find out who had the other immunity idol?” Earl replied, “Dreamz.”
Mookie - Grilled Dreamz on revealing the Immunity Idol as well.
Alex - He started by giving Cassandra a hard time about how she treated and backstabbed Stacey. Then he railed on Dreamz for all of the lying and backstabbing he did; asking him how he could do that and expect to be a role model when he worked with kids. (I guess hes voting for Earl)
Lissie - Her question was totally confusing. She started by telling Cassandra that she had the worst looking water shoes ever. Then impled that based on this she was unprepared for the game and was only in it out of greed. She then gave Dreamz a hard time for being motivated by greed as well. To which I say, “Well duh? Lissie, Weren’t you all there for the million dollars?” She concluded by calling Earl on why he was earl surprised Yau was voted off after he had voted for Yau. Earl simply said he thought he made a smart choice.
Stacey - She focused on Earl asking him about why should he get the money if Dreamz needs it so bad. (Snooze).
Rocky - Rocky wanted to know why each of the survivors thought they were the biggest manipulator in the game. Cassandra said she wasn’t (Rocky didn’t like that answer). Dreamz stated that every time he was on chopping block he got someone else up instead, like Yau. Earl’s answer was the best: “I am because I manipulated everyone up there, no one even thought I was playing the game.”
Boo - Boo wanted to know from Dreamz (as a Christian man) if when you accepted the truck did he make that promise for real or was he playing the game? Dreamz said he was playing the game. Boo didn’t believe him and neither do I.
Yau - In typical Yau fashion (class til the end), he told Dreamz not to feel guilty about keeping the truck, that was his mistake for trusting Dreamz. He did ask, “Why did you change your mind?” Dreamz responded by saying that when he accepted the truck, he was playing the game (Still not buying it). Then Yau asked Earl, why did he vote him off. Earl honestly said that he didn’t think he could win against Yau.
After the vote, Jeff took the vote pot and headed for New York…
Live Reunion Show
CBS cut right to the chase. Jeff walked in and tallied the votes. When he read the votes, the first five votes to come out were for Earl. Earl is the survivor and wins the million dollars. For the first time in Survivor history, it was a unanimous decision by the jury. Earl received all nine votes. I was surprised that Cassandra didn’t get a single vote though. Dreamz sealed his fate when he went back on his promise to Yau, especially when the rest of the four horsemen who were on the jury already felt betrayed by him. Dreamz would have stood a much better chance trying to make a deal with Yau, like, “I’m going to give it to you, but you need to promise not to vote me out.” That way he doesn’t break his word as a man and doesn’t antagonize the jury any more, while possibly keeping himself in the game. Yau should have pressed Dreamz for the idol at least a little bit. Yau addressed that later saying that once he had decided to trust Dreamz he was too stubborn to change his mind about Dreamz.
Not the winners.
When Jeff talked to Earl our winner, it came out that Earl never really watched the show before. It was nice to hear that Earl and Yau were still friends. Jeff called it right when he said that Dreamz basically made the call between Earl and Yau as to who got the million. Earl made the right choice, when Jeff asked for a show of hands for how many jury members would have voted for Yau he got at least seven votes. Yeh, Earl made the right decision, Yau would have won the million no question.
Congratulations Earl!
