The Bachelor, An Officer and a Gentleman: After the Final Rose
Tonight, Andy was publicly reunited with his fiancee Tessa. He also had to face to the woman he rejected for the first time since escorting her to the limo. But first Chris interviewed three of the most notable bachelorette’s from earlier in the season: Danielle, Amber, and Stephanie South Carolina.
Amber who was sent home in what was one of the most heart wrenching rose ceremonies ever. Amber said that she felt mislead by Andy. She was convinced she would make it to the final three. At the time she was really upset that Andy said that it was because of her age since he had told her and her Aunt that Amber was very mature for her age and that age wasn’t an issue. Amber has gained some perspective on this though. Now she feels that if it was her age that got her sent home, she is OK with that because her age is the one thing she can’t do anything about.
Stephanie SC said she isn’t really sure what happened (Um, you were a bitch and Andy figured you out). When she watched the show, Stephanie realized he had some connections with other girls that she didn’t know about while she.
Danielle described Andy’s reasons for not keeping her as, “a timing thing.” Danielle felt that by the time she and Andy had time together he already had such a strong connection with Bevin and Tessa that she didn’t stand a chance. I have to agree with her, I think she’s right.
Then they brought Bevin out. When they were showing the recap of her journey on The bachelor, she seemed to spent most of her time in the clips crying. Then she started crying on stage. She obviously had very strong feelings for Andy and she is not even close to being over him yet. Bevin said she had this feeling when she got into the limo to meet Andy that she knew it wasn’t going to be her.
Then Andy came out to talk with Bevin. It was nice that she was able to smile and give him a hug. Andy was brilliant at explaining and saying what a great girl she is. Bevin first thanked him for such a great time, and said she had no regrets, no harsh feelings, and she respected his decision. She said that she was glad that he was happy. These two were very classy in the way they handled this. Despite Chris’ pestering her again and again, Bevin never asked him any questions to make him sweat. Without Bevin asking, Andy finally answered the question as to why he didn’t pick Bevin to get Chris off her back. Andy seems like the kind of guy who likes a challenge and Tessa made him work for it, while Bevin was his for the taking and that may have worked against her.
Then it was time for Tessa to come out. Andy said the note and the picture she gave him was what finally pushed him over the top on his feelings for Tessa. For Andy, the fact that he had to work for it made it more real for him. Chris had a slightly different take on Andy’s choice, “I still can’t believe he chose the girl with the muffin joke.” Tessa is planning on moving to Hawaii. They have not made any plans yet for a wedding. The move to Hawaii is their first big step and as Andy reminded us Tessa likes to step baby steps. For me tonight this was the first time Andy seemed real. He was joking and laughing. During the show he always came across as a little stiff and uncomfortable.
At the end of the show, ABC gave them a romantic trip to hike the Inca trail in Peru. That is a really cool trip. I’ve hiked the Inca trail to Machu Pichu and it is awesome! I wouldn’t call it romantic, but it is awesome! I wish them all the best. I really hope it works out for them.

Danielle would of even been a better match for Andy, then Tessia. Tessia couldn’t even carry on conversation. She talks like she got a mouth full of ****!!!!!! Andy is sure a looser!!!

Andy, you made the biggest mistake ever that you could have made!!!! You had a girl, Bevin, who truly was in love with you!!! Tessa, it was a game for her, just like her dad said. You had no electricity with her what-so-ever, just had fun with her as you said. I’ve been upset with this since the show aired on Monday and I only hope that you two are done with each other real soon, trust me, she will be, and you’ll get back to Bevin.

For Bevin’s sake I hope not. Its bad enough getting rejected but then when you think you’re over it to be the back up plan is not cool.

Hoooray!!! from team Tessa. Andy, you chose the girl who is intelligent, genuine, classy, sophisticated, dignified, and real. What more can you look for in a person? You are smart in choosing her. Electrification can fizzle out in no time. I wish you all the best. Hope to hear a wedding bell soon. Please let us know, OK.

if anyone’s ever been to middlebury, vermont and been exposed to the snobby, manipulating, seemingly holier than thou girls of middlebury college (tessa’s alma mater) then you would be as disgusted as i am that tessa prevailed. sigh…..another boy falls for a shallow middlebury girl who plays the game well. sorry folks, this engagement will never last.
