It’s another week of television shows coming at you and we’re here to help. Here’s a break down by night of what you need to be sure to catch and what’s going on this week, May 28 - June 1, 2007. Now getting ready for a shift in your regular programming as we’ve officially hit the summer season. But don’t worry, there are plenty of fun summer time shows that will be popping up (Pirate Master, Big Brother, etc.) that will be filling those gaps.

Monday:
Real Wedding Crashers: 8-9pm on NBC; I thought they had dropped this one when it vanished the other week. Well Manthem, no more worries, it’s back. A California couple is in the focus this week with pranks involving a monster truck and an escaped convict.

On the Lot: 8-10pm on Fox; Eighteen finalists show their short films to the judges. Viewers and judges votes are combined to determined which three directors will be sent home.

Miss Universe Pageant: 9-11pm on NBC; Zuleyka Rivera, Miss Universe 2006, will crown her successor after the swimsuit, gown, and interview competitions. Intense! Vanessa Minnillo and Mario Lopez host.

Tuesday:
On the Lot: 8-9pm on Fox; Three directors are sent home based on viewers’ and judges’ votes.

House: 9-10pm on Fox; Human Error: Season 3 Finale - An ailing woman fleeing Cuba in search of House’s treatment is rescued at sea (Um, have the writers forgotten the whole ‘wet foot/dry foot’ thing on Cuban immigrants?). Her records were lost in the wreck. Foreman’s imminent departure prompts House to make a hasty decision.

Wednesday:
So You Think You Can Dance: 8-10pm on Fox; Wow, this looks bad, but here it is on Season 2. Aspiring dancers audition in Los Angeles and Chicago.

Next Best Thing: Who is the Greatest Celebrity Impersonator: 8-9pm on ABC; Series Premiere - Contestants try to impress a panel of judges and viewers by mimicking the rich and famous in the hopes of winning the grand prize, dignity. No wait, not dignity, $100,000, which is good because that seems more important.

Thursday:

Pirate Master: 8-9pm on CBS; Series Premiere - Contestants/Pirates search for $1 million in treasure. All 16 buccaneers board a massive ship and undertake the first expedition. Walt wrote up a great preview on Pirate Master that you should check out.

So You Think You Can Dance: 9-10pm on Fox; Dancers audition in Atlanta.

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip: 10-11pm on NBC; Breaking News - Things go haywire during a live broadcast when Jordan has a scare with her pregnancy and Tom has to face his own crisis. To make matters worse, Matt’s pill popping is no longer a secret.

Friday:
The Soup: 10-10:30 on E!; This is a great show that recaps the week’s entertainment news and non-news with great commentary by Joel McHale. He’s the supervisor character from those Burger King commercials set in an office. Don’t let that discourage you though, he’s really funny.

Check back here on Friday for my Weekend Movie Preview Lineup to see what your options will be.

Okay, that’s my set of Don’t Miss Shows for this week, May 28 - June 1, 2007.

Have another show to add? Send me a message and let me know what else you think should be on this list.

  1. Manthem

Wedding Crashers was canceled after 4 episodes. People just don’t know good TV.

  2. Matt

No kidding? I thought something was up when they skipped it the other week.

  3. Manthem

Yea, ’twas a sad day for me. Oh well, I still have Pirate Master and Hell’s Kitchen to look forward to.
