This is the episode we’ve all been waiting for, its WAR! The show gets off to a great start with Sil strangling Burt in his house. At the Bing, Sil tells him he killed Burt because he was playing both sides of the fence with NY. Burt tried to talk Sil into going along with offing Tony and then Phil would make him the new boss. Phil has decided it time to off Tony and his top 2 guys, Sil and Bobby. FBI Agent Dwight shows up at Satriale’s again. He tells Tony that Phil is going after him.

In other Soprano family news, AJ finally gets out of the hospital. Carmela hid AJ’s belt so he can’t kill himself and Tony empties the pool. Uncle Junior is out of money so he is going to be moved to a state facility. Janis tells Tony and that She and Bobby will contribute. Tony gets pissed off at Bobby and tells her to stuff it.

Dr. Melfi is attending a dinner with some colleagues. They are discussing how sociopaths use therpy to hone their skills. She gets into it with other psychiatrists at the table. But then she reads study regarding this later and starts to believe it. At Tony’s next session, Tony tries to talk about Meadow, Dr. Melfi seems very detached. Then she starts to give Tony hard time and some attitude. Then she tells Tony that she isn’t interested into working with him anymore. He tells her its because of female menopausal symptoms, but their sessions are over. Tony tells Carmela he quit and she agrees because Dr. Melfi wasn’t doing much good anyway.

Tony asks Bobby to bring cousins over from Sicily to go after Phil but, they kill the wrong guy and his daughter. Sil and Pauly don’t realize it until some guy at the Bing shows them the dead guys picture in the paper. Sil tells Tony, they decide its war and everyone needs to watch out but for some its too late. While Bobby is shopping for trains, two guys walk in and kill him. Sil packs up and heads into hiding. As hes pulling out of the parking lot Phil’s guys show up and shoot him. Tony goes home and tells Carmela and AJ to move out. When AJ pulls the depression card Tony freaks out and physically hauls him off the bed to get him moving. It doesn’t sound like Sil is going to make it. Tony and Pauly go into hiding themselves. Tony has the assault rifle Bobby gave it to him (could we be seeing a scene out of Scarface next week?).

I don’t think they could have a Sopranos movie anymore, by the time next week’s episode is over, there won’t be anybody left. I can’t wait. My expectations are so high though I’m afraid that the show won’t live up to them as usual.

Next Week: The final episode.
