This looks like it could be one of the better movies to come out of an SNL star. I’m hoping we have another Will Ferrell on our hands here. Andy Samberg takes on a dare devil role in this comedy and at least the trailers make it look like it works. Samberg has really been a big boost to SNL since he joined back in 2005. He’s since gone on to help create such Digital Shorts hits as “Lazy Sunday” and the duet with Justin Timberlake, “D**k in a Box”. I imagine we’ll get nothing less than his usual quality of humor.
Hot Rod - Plot:
Amateur stuntman Rod Kimble has a problem–his step-father Frank is a jerk. Frank picks on Rod, tosses him around like a rag doll in their weekly sparring sessions, and definitely doesn’t respect him, much less his stunts. But when Frank falls ill, it’s up to Rod to stage the jump of his life in order to save his step-father. The plan: Jump 15 buses, raise the money for Frank’s heart operation, and then–kick his ass.

(Apparently you can’t make hearts with 3’s and less than symbols)
Andy Samberg kicks ass. It’s good finally see him in a major role. Don’t forget to check out his website at http://www.stuntmanforever.com/

Yeah, he definitely is great.
That website is pretty funny. I enjoyed the list of things he likes and dislikes (likes orange juice/other juices, dislikes being pushed down on the ground). The pictures threw me off as I wasn’t sure if it was really his site or not.
