Wow, it has been a full 18 years since Harrison Ford has grabbed his trusty whip and donned his hat, but here he is in a first look as he reprises the role of Indiana Jones.

Harrison Ford dons the familiar costume on Thursday, June 21, 2007, as the upcoming Indiana Jones adventure begins production under the direction of Steven Spielberg. The new Indiana Jones movie is set in the 1950s and stars Shia LaBeouf, Cate Blanchett, John Hurt, Ray Winstone and Jim Broadbent. The Lucasfilm Ltd. production will be released by Paramount Pictures worldwide on May 22, 2008.
Well there has certainly been plenty of interest around this movie’s casting process. First they pick up their Indiana babe, ugh, Cate Blanchett, then there was the whole Sean Connery “Is He or Isn’t He?” issue there, which I was totally wrong on. Connery isn’t going to be back. I guess they’ll just be dropping the father character altogether as they couldn’t possibly think to have someone else take that on. We’ll see soon enough.

He sure does look good for 65! I just hope he doesn’t try too many stunts, break something, and really delay its release!
