Awesomeness! We finally get to peek inside with lots of pictures of the newly restyled Big Brother house for BB season 8! The show will remain in the same studio as the past two years, but as always there was a complete makeover on the whole thing. Last year was a little club-ish feeling to me and I definitely don’t get that kinda vibe at all here. Instead the producers have gone with an Alice in Wonderland approach. Um, really? That’s what all your marketing and big executive board meetings came up with? Wonderland? Yikes. Let’s hope things get better from here on!
So the layout is all going to be the same. There’s the entrance which is all fancied up this year. The meeting area has fancy, schmancy couches with lots of pillows and bizarro wall hangings. A very similar kitchen, minus the purple kettles everywhere. You’ll also notice the Memory Wall, which displays all the guests, has 14 spots, so that’s our number of houseguests for this season! The chessboard is back upstairs outside the HoH room. That’s such an awkward spot, not sure why they bothered with that again.
Geez, the bedrooms look really wacky! One of the bedrooms has 5 beds which are only 5 feet long. What the hell? That’s totally useless and would just tick me off. So basically that room is useless unless the show has midgets this season. What a second! Nah, nevermind. The next bedroom looks kinda cool with the round beds. Then if you look closely in the background you’ll see some really tall beds that’ll require steps. Of course there’s also the bathroom area which has plenty of fancy stuff in it this year too. Lots of marble tops on those tables.
The backyard didn’t change a whole lot, which kinda surprised me. Hopefully they at least put in a rabbit hole somewhere around there! You can see the big chess set is out there again, along with the same ol’ pool. I guess the Alice thing here would be the giant tea cup. Man, the guys are gonna love this stuff. Sheesh.
So there it is, our Big Brother 8 House. Kinda surprising and definitely wacky. Just one more week until we get the show going and I can’t wait.
