Indiana Jones 4 is hot on its way to the theaters next May as filming for the next installment has just begun last week in New Mexico. There the town of Deming is being partially converted to appear as though it were Morocco in the 1950s. Soon the filming will jump over to the Hawaiian coast of Hamakua. I’m glad to see their going to keep Indy in globe trotting mode!

Considering how good looking Hawaii is in Lost I imagine the filming crew will be able to take full advantage of the scenary for some pretty cool scenes. Hopefully it won’t just be scenes of Indiana Jones taking naps, reading books, and walking slowly down the beach as most 65 year olds would prefer that to dodging boulders and bullets.

Last week we got our first look at Harrison Ford back in his Indy outfit. Thankfully he really doesn’t look that old in it, which has been my big concern for this movie. Speaking of too old, Sean Connery is still officially out of this sequel which was a decision that really surprised me. Another casting rumor that surprised me is that Karen Allen may return to her role of Marion Ravenwood from the very first Indiana Jones movie, “Raiders of the Lost Ark”. Now that’d be interesting to see what they could do with her story line. Hopefully it’ll involve her outdrinking danger again!
