Time to shove off for another adventure with the crew from Pirate Master. To start the show Nessa called Sean a two-faced liar (but come on isn’t that what being a pirate is all about! Arrgh!)for continually promising to vote one way and then voting another. Sean in turned called her a conniving little flirt. They both think the other is vulnerable to be voted off this week.
The Zanzibar Chest
This week’s treasure was from Capt. Steel’s pilot a degenerate gambler (I like him already). The maps were on playing cards. An ace of spades for the balck crew and an ace of hearts for the red crew.
Black Crew: Louie, Sean, Nessa, Joe Don, Joy, Christa
Red Crew: Azmyth, Jupiter, Kendra, Jay, Ben, Laurel
The crews had to paddle to the anchor on beach, and then head into the Voodoo Forest. Once in the forest they had to find a face card to match the color and suit of the card their map was drawn on.
The red crew was off to an early lead but, it was the black crew that hit the beach first. On their way into the forest, Nessa hit a booby trap which allowed the red crew to close the distance a little but not enough. The black crew found their card and clue quickly.
The crews now had to return to the anchor on the beach with the spyglass provided with the clue. Using the spyglass they had to find a heart. Below the heart they would find a grave containing the next clue.
By the time the red crew found their card the black crew was already back at the anchor. But Louie got the spyglass wet making it useless. Christa convinced them to just head to the island across the bay, correctly guessing that that must be where the heart is. Azmyth picked out the heart on the island for the red crew and then the red crew was also paddling across the bay. Once on the island the crews had to climb some pretty rugged terrain to reach the heart.
The black crew was first to the island and first to the grave but red was right behind them. The final clue instructed the crews to locate the palm tree on the island where the treasure is buried. The black crew found palm tree first and began the search. The red crew showed up and began searching with them. Christa started digging a hole and then left it. Jay finished digging her hole and found the treasure.
The Booty:
Louie was happy to be back among the crew. There was no chest this time, just a bag containing $40,000 in gold. The red crew re-elected Azmyth as captain again. He selected Ben and Jay as his officers because he wanted two of the strongest players with him. Azmyth redistributed the treasure so that each red crew member got $6,000. I was glad he didn’t adopt his British accent again.
Jupiter and Sean were scheming to get rid of Nessa while Nessa listened in from the roof of the galley. She went to talk with Joe Don. He gave here and extra $2500 to bid on the pardon, which he gets it back anyway. Jay tried to schmooze Laurel because he felt like she was the only crew member who he didn’t have any influence with. It backfired. She doesn’t trust anything he says.
Azmyth and the officers decided to keep Nessa because they new she was in with Joe Don and helped promote tension among the women. They selected Louie because he said all outgoing captains should have to face the court. Sean was picked because Jay had it in for him. Laurel was selected because she didn’t work hard on expeditions and wasn’t really involved in the plotting.
Black Spots:
1. Sean
2. Louie
3. Laurel
The Pirates Court:
Laurel did not receive and votes and neither did Azmyth for Mutiny. Sean received the most ballots so only the Royal Pardon could save him. The highest bid on royal pardon was Nessa with $9000. So Sean was cast adrift.
Sean’s voyage has ended as she has been cut adrift.
Next Week:
Azmyth, Jay, and Ben form deadly and powerful team. While the rest of the crew are dying for a change in command. Nessa and Joe Don form an alliance of a different sort… a very physical alliance.
