Update (7/10/07): Okay, so I’m really bummed because our power went out 30 minutes before Age of Love last night and didn’t come back on until 1AM. Even though I missed the show I’m willing to bet our home was hotter than anything Mark was getting into last night. No AC in the middle of July isn’t a good thing.

I may have missed the show last night, but I do have the results. Last night we lost both of our blonds as Mark sent home Tessa and Kelli. Tessa was one of my predictions, but I was really surprised by Kelli. How the heck Bloody Mary keeps surviving each week is beyond me. Maybe one of you wise readers can explain that one to me.

Electricity willing we’ll be back in Age of Love mode next week here at Wild Bluff Media.

Tonight on Age of Love we’ll continue our journey with Mark Philippoussis, 30, as he tries to discover if age really matters when it comes to love. Last week we saw the heat get turned up on all parties as the Kittens felt the pressure of the Cougars and Mark once again found himself caught in the crossfire. A surprising elimination round sent Lynn and Adelaide home while the annoying Mary somehow survived. Adelaide was overly confident following her smooch with Mark and was caught completely off guard when Mark informed her of his change of heart. Lynn’s departure was semi-surprising as Maria had declared her intent to walk off only to have a change of heart of her own. With only 8 ladies left, 4 Cougars and 4 Kittens, things should get even more intense.

This week there are two dates (one will be like last week’s duo date fiasco, and the other a solo) at stake. First the ladies will have to compete in a triathlon for the chance to go out on a private yacht for a nice long date. I’m guessing this won’t be as easy of a win for the Kittens as they might assume. Those Cougars likely have to exercise plenty to stay so fit, which should provide them ample opportunities to win. Later the ladies will have to team up in tennis for the chance to win a diamond bracelet as well as another solo date with Mark. This second date will take place up in Mark’s suite. Oh la la.

Once all the dating is done we’ll get another elimination round where 2 more ladies, 1 Cougar and 1 Kitten, will be sent packing. On the Cougars’ side I’m predicting either Jennifer or Maria to see the end of the road. Over on the Kittens’ side I think Mary or Tessa will be on their way out. Despite Tessa’s mainstream attraction, busty blonde, Mark has taken little interest in her for the past few weeks. Clearly this guy prefers brunettes. The current leaders on each side would have to be Cougar Jayanna and Kitten Amanda.

Last week we were promised to see the two groups merged, but that didn’t really factor into the show until the very end of the episode. So tonight we’ll see the merger and its aftermath. Jayanna is verbally frustrated by this and likely won’t take it lightly. We’ll find out soon enough as Age of Love will be on NBC tonight at 9pm (EST).
