Sex and the City

Kim Cattrall, the long time hold out from the HBO series Sex and the City, has finally agreed to move forward with the long discussed big screen adaptation. Oh boy, what a relief. Kim Cattrall will be at least 52 years old by the time the movie creeps into theaters, making this the saddest attempt at sex appeal since Sharon Stone retrieved her ice pick for a second round. Co-stars Jessica Parker and Kristin Davis both turned 40 last year while Cynthia Nixon hit that mile marker the year prior.

So what finally smoothed Cattrall’s wrinkles enough to get her in front of the Vasoline smeared camera? She had been holding out for a paycheck the size of Parker’s, who is a co-producer on the show while Cattrall is just a bitch. I guess we’ll have to assume she finally got close enough with the money, but in addition to that she’s negotiated to have “influence over her scenes”. I’ll be amazed if she still has influence over her bladder by the time this thing gets made. Zing!

Look Mr. McCarthy. We’ve asked you to please stop loitering in the halls here. You’re making the other readers uncomfortable with your stories of 80’s glories. Just because Cattrall has signed on for a Sex and the City movie doesn’t mean she’d consider making Mannequin 3 with you. It’s time to let it go.

If you were a 12yo boy instead of a 8yo boy in 1987, you’d know exactly what I am talking about . . . (swoon)

Hi! I so looking forward to see the movie! I’m very curious about it.I hope not to ruin the series.

    Regards!

  3. Fracture: Movie Review | Wild Bluff Media : Entertainment Examined

[...] Fracture was a pretty fun movie to watch, though its rather predictable. Thankfully it’s the journey, not the destination that makes this one worthwhile. I felt a sense of well crafted, poetic delivery of the scenes and character interactions that were supported much better by the dialogue than the premise. If you’re looking for a court room drama with a clincher of a finish then check out Primal Fear starring Gere, Linney, and Norton. While Hopkins obviously is going to take home the acting trophy I was very impressed with the supporting acting of Ryan Gosling. I’ve seen him in a number of movies in the past few years and he continues to get better each time (though I’m worried about his next movie where he falls in love with a mannequin and it’s not Kim Cattrall).
