Spoiler Free Zone ahead: We may know what’s going on with the live feeds, but for now we’ll keep this discussion to our broadcast show speculations.

Sunday on Big Brother 8 we witnessed the Jenius and Jenuine Jen announce her not so surprising nominations of Dick and Daniele. Dick and Jen have had anything but a friendly relationship so far in this game and so putting him up along with someone he wouldn’t campaign against seems like a sure fire plan. So does Dick have any chances of survival this week, or is he a dead man walking?

Forgetting all about the Power of Veto competition coming up tonight and just looking at votes split between these nominees Dick is already in a bad spot. While he’s certainly been entertaining for America I don’t think he’ll have the same pull inside the house. He’s a 40+ yr old Tommy Lee versus a 20 yr old Barbie. Those most likely to vote for him to stay (Zach and Mike) will be overruled by Nick’s heart. If you thought last week’s 10-1 vote against Carol was bad I could see this being even worse for ol’ Dick.

It’s clear to me that if Dick wants to dodge this bullet he’s going to have to make sure come Thursday night he’s not sitting in the big chairs next to his daughter Daniele. That means Dick will need either a personal PoV miracle or one for Daniele. Again, I don’t see Dick getting much help thrown his way from any house guests this early on, but Daniele on the other hand has the absurdly cheesy “here’s the key to my heart/luggage” Nick in her back pocket. Now she’ll only get to play the Nick card if she gets a “player’s choice” or the “Nick” ball pulled from the bag. If all these stars aligned Daniele could end up with 3 house guests playing for her as I suspect ol’ dad will fall on his sword for her given the chance. Yes, that’s right. I believe that even if Dick wins the PoV he’ll use it on Daniele over himself come ceremony time. At this point Daniele has some pretty good odds of surviving the chopping block. But hey, I’m still concerned about our foul-mouthed father here, so let’s keep going.

Assuming the stars have aligned and Daniele’s been rescued what would it then take to save dear old dad? Dick will have to find a way to get up against the next least liked player in Jen’s gamebook to save his neck. That would easily have to be Gonorrhea Joe who had his key pulled last to demonstrate Jen’s dislike for his “negativity” and his borderline potential for nomination. I would say that makes him a prime candidate for filling any vacancies of the big, plush chairs come Thursday night. So if we see these two, Dick and Joe (or Jane, if you’d prefer), pitted against one another I’d start to feel much better about Evil Dick’s chances of survival. I can’t imagine anyone in the house voting for obnoxious Joe over Dick, not even Dustin. Maybe that’s just wishful thinking on my part, but I’d still like to believe it.

So that’s what we need here for a daring Dick disaster diversion: Daniele’s PoV rescue, Joe’s replacement, and finally Dick’s voting triumphant rescue. Oh what a glorious day that’d be. Can you imagine how much fun Dick will have with Jen once she’s back out of the HoH room? Can you say “Busto versus Hurricane Howie”? BUSTO BUSTO BUSTO! Woohoo!
