Nessa was really upset when Joe Don was cut adrift last week. Jay was really angry with Kendra because she gave her word that she would vote for Joe Don and went back on her word casting her vote for Louie instead. Jay called her on it in front of the whole crew. Kendra is now in danger again and a die hard enemy of the Triad.
The Zanzibar Chest
After opening the Zanzibar Chest, Chris Daddo gave a dramatic whistle and all of the crew members who were cast adrift boarded over the starboard rail. The pirates were the black crew, and the ghosts were the red crew. Which ever crew won got to keep the treasure. If the ghost pirates won they would not only get to keep the treasure but they would decide who received the blakk spots this week and there would be no captain until the next expedition. The triad was definitely worried. They had good reason to be worried too. The ghost crew were out for revenge and frankly many of their fellow black crew mates would be just as happy if they lost.
Black Crew: Azmyth, Jay, Ben, Laurel, Jupiter, Louie, Nessa, Christa, and Kendra
Red Crew: John, Joe Don, Alexis, Cheryl, Christian, Joy, and Sean
The crews had to navigate up the jungle river and find a coffin with their next clue. Both teams were fighting as hard as they could. The black team reached the coffin first Jay dove out of the boat and ripped off the whole coffin lid. Sean and Joe Don did the same for the red team a minute later.
The crews now had to head further up river. The first crew to reach their key could sabotage the other team by placing that teams key further out of reach. Part way up the river it became too shallow and the crews had to abandon their boats. The black team maintained their lead and reached the sabotage point first. As usual the sabotage barely slowed down the red crews down at all. They need to work on that for future episodes.
With key in hand the crews had to head farther up river until they reach the fork. They then have to head east using their compasses until they reach a grave yard. Azmyth was having trouble with his compass which caused them to head the wrong way and allowed the red crew to catch up. Not that it mattered. After climbing the vine to retrieve the key, John accidentally lost the key in the river without anyone noticing. Almost to the graveyard the red crew had to turn around and head back to the river to find the key. Joe Don, Sean, and the rest of the ghosts were furious with John. This allowed the black crew to correct their error and reach the graveyard first. From the graveyard they had to head north and find the angel tree with the treasure underneath. While the ghosts were searching the river with a producer supplied diving mask the black team found the treasure.
The Booty:
With the treasure worth $50,000, $25,000 went to Azmyth, $6,250 to each Ben and Jay, and $12,500 for the rest of the crew to split before the officers did any further divisions. When Daddo asked Azmyth if he wanted to change officers, he said no. The crew really wanted a change but, Azmyth saw no reason to change what had worked so well up to this point. Louie and Nessa really wanted the ghosts to win. Without the ghosts they began plotting a mutiny. For a mutiny to succeed though the officers had to agree. Jay is considering mutiny to get rid of Azmyth because Azmyth is becoming very powerful and if Jay wants to win, Azmyth has to go sooner rather than later. Jupiter was still loyal though. At dinner she raised the fact that the crew was considering mutiny if nothing was changed up. She was trying to help Azmyth, but he thought she was in on it. She now became the target of the triad instead. Oops.
Black Spots:
1. Kendra
2. Laurel
3. Jupiter
Kendra was given a spot for being the slowest on the expeditions and going back on her word. Laurel was put up for complaining all the time. Jupiter received the last spot because she was discussing mutiny and that she was a strong player especially if she teamed up with Nessa. The result of their move though was likely to bring about the very thing the triad feared. Would this make Jupiter change her tune about mutiny? If so that would only leave Ben. Louie and Jay both spoke with him. This is the closest to a mutiny yet this season.
The Pirates Court:
When defending herself, Jupiter said she would not mutiny no matter what. Kendra bought the royal pardon for $4,000. Jupiter was voted off with all 3 votes cast for her. Jupiter was dumb for bringing up the mutiny at dinner in front of the whole crew. She should have talked with Azmyth alone but man did Azmyth ever make a huge mistake. Jupiter was the most loyal crew member aboard and that includes the officers. With the loss of Jupiter, the door is really open for a mutiny next week.
Jupiter’s voyage has ended as she has been cut adrift.
Next Week:
Azmyth regrets giving Jupiter a black spot (no duh). The crew lets loose with a little pirates feast and Jay courts Christa as his new ally.
