Big Brother 8

Update: Check out our recap of tonight’s live eviction show.

Tonight is the second eviction episode of the season. We’ll finally wrap up an emotional week that has seen three nominees and one whacked out HoH. Following Daniele’s triumphant win in the PoV she wisely removed herself from the chopping block, forcing Jen to replace her with “Joe and his negativity.” Does this mean Dick is safe and Joe will go? Not so fast. I think this is going to be a close one with even a potential for a tie-breaker vote from HoH Jen.

So far this week Eric has failed 3x with his America’s Player tasks. Well one of the tasks he failed twice, but I’m going to count both times. Tonight we’ll see if he manages to fulfill his role this time and vote the way we ask. I’ve really got the feeling that America is going to ask him to vote for Joe to leave. Please, please, please.

No matter who is going home I think we’re going to get a lot of moments of drama tonight as neither player is nearly as passive as Carol was last week when she left. If it’s Joe he’ll probably use his last moments to spew nasty accusations which may or may not include the statement, “Dustin gave me illiteracy!” Equally as safe to expect is a lot of beeped words from Dick towards Jen should he receive the most votes to leave. I guess we’ll have to leave that fun to the live feed viewers.

How these votes will end up is still pretty tricky to call, even if you’ve been following the live feeds. Kail seems to be against Dick and is pulling Mike and Nick along with her. I’d definitely be surprised to see Nick vote against Daniele’s wishes though as I’m assuming she’ll vote for her father to stay. Jessica and Jameka are really hiding their cards from my skills of deduction, but I’d guess Jessica may vote against Dick just so she can say his name. The rest of the house? I’m not so sure on them.

No matter how the votes turn out I think all the house guests will be relieved to be rid of such a Jenuine HoH. Kail has already expressed her disinterest in regaining the throne as it could make her a target. She is hoping someone else from her gang makes it though. Personally, I’m rooting for Dick to stay and get the coveted HoH for himself. He’ll be competing against 10 other people, so that makes his chances pretty rough. Last week we had the Q&A and although the producers tend to stick to that with such a large group of people I’m hoping we’ll see something more physically challenging instead. Only the Chenbot knows for sure (well, not really, but if we’re pretending she’s a robot I’ll also pretend she knows everything).

Watch everyone freak out as the pressure builds toward the eviction ceremony with the uncensored live feeds (free trial). Then come back after the show for all your BB8 episode recap goodness.
