Age of Love

Tonight, in the sixth episode of Age of Love, NBC’s new Reality TV show, Mark Philippoussis, 30, will continue his quest for romance as he dates two different groups of women. The first group, Cougars, which are our “older women” with ages ranging from 39 to 48. The second group of women, Kittens, are our younger women and range in age from 21 to 27 years old. With Mark caught somewhere in between it’ll be an interesting season to see who he picks and if he can answer, “Does age matter?”

This week things are really taking a change for the more interesting as the ladies are being pulled from their life of luxury and head for the hills. That’s right, it’s time to go camping and it looks like the producers are going to wish they had thought of this sooner. So what is the key to commotion in reality TV? Tequila! Mark and the ladies load up on tequila and wine and let the games get started. A series of “dares” lead to Jayanna baring her behind, which she’s very proud of and doesn’t mind showing off. Then there’s the unfortunate exposure of Mark’s behind at Jayanna’s “dare” request. Best of all is Maria’s “truth” where she straddles Mark, places her hands on his heart, and pours out her feelings. This series of events leads to an outburst amongst the women with Maria getting the most upset over the other ladies laughing at her antics. Thankfully everyone comes back and there are hugs for everyone.

Before the night is over Mark has to take one of the ladies away for a special moonlit dance. Not so surprisingly Mark picks Jayanna to go on this special mini-date. I’ve said over and over that I think Jayanna is leading the Cougars and this may just show that she’s leading both packs overall. This goes well for the two of them, but not so much for Amanda who is going crazy-nuts over his extended absence. After some drunken wandering around looking for Mark Amanda decides to wait for him in his tent. This of course leads to plenty of pillow talk between the two when he finally does return. Mark assures her she isn’t naive like Jayanna has convinced her. Hmm, if Mark goes with one of the two remaining Kittens I’m still thinking it’s going to be Amanda over Megan.

The elimination round is handled a little differently this time around. Instead of a night time, poolside visit Mark has to talk with each of the women individually off to the side at the campsite. Jennifer is the first to be called away followed by Amanda. Both are asked to stay. Maria is pulled over to the side and I’m stunned to hear that Maria is asked to stay as well. That leaves just Megan and Jayanna. Now this makes me nervous. A quick moment with Megan reveals that she is going to be staying this week. I can’t believe what this means. Jayanna is confronted by Mark regarding what she told Amanda about guarding her feelings and to not fall so quickly for Mark. Mark takes this as Jayanna trying to emotionally bully the other girls and as a result he tells her she won’t be coming back on the RV. I’m amazed by this turn of events as up until this elimination round I was convinced of Jayanna’s strong lead in the competition. Ah well.

Jayanna: Age of Love

Next week the remaining four women will continue the fight for Mark’s heart. Something seems to go wrong though as we learn that there’s something that Megan refuses to do. What could it be? We’ll find out next Monday, so be sure to check back in here at Wild Bluff Media for all the details.

Is it just me or is anyone else sick of Amanda? I think that the girl is nuts. She follows Mark when he goes on his walk with Jayanna and then has the balls to wait for him uninvited in his tent. I think this whole thing is fixed. I have noticed that every time Amanda says something to Mark about one of the other ladies they are sent home. This is not right.

Yeah, Amanda certainly doesn’t seem to be adjusting to this too well. I think you’re likely right about it being fixed, but in the sense that Mark has already made up his mind to pick Amanda.

Let’s face it - Amanda will win. She is soooo manipulative to always point the finger at someone so Mark will send them home. I did not like Jayanna, but Amanda really twisted the story to turn Mark against her (just like she said Kelli boasted of their kiss, and then he sent Kelli home). Amanda acts innocent (or as she says, “naive”) but that girl is BOLD and KNOWS what she is doing.

Wandering around in the woods looking to interrupt Mark and Jayanna’s date was definitely bold. I agree, I think Amanda has this locked up.

  5. Mindy

I hope that Mark gets to watch the tapes of these shows and sees what a mistake he made letting Jayanna go and keeping Amanda.

I wish you the best: Mark & Amanda, the best in the world. You are such a grate couples. May God bless you in your journey. :)
