I was a little surprised to discover that many of the house guests seemed to feel like Mike should be the one to go home because he had proven to be the stronger player while Kail is falling apart. I guess I ought to spend more time watching the 24/7 live feeds. Dick flipped flopped back and forth over who should go. Kail and Mike tried not to campaign against each other too hard because they were friends and didn’t want to appear too traitorous if they stay.

America’s Player:
Eric’s assignment this week was to try to get Kail evicted. Notice that Big Brother changed it so that he didn’t just have to cast his vote for America’s choice. He was actually responsible for getting that house guest evicted. That’s a tough thing to do especially when the house is now leaning in the opposite direction. I give him credit he gave it his best shot. He sat down with Jameka, Dick, Daniele, Amber, and Dustin, all in a big group. He definitely had them thinking Kail’s way.

Daniele’s Boyfriend
No, I do not mean Nick. Tonight we had a chance to meet Daniele’s boyfriend at home, Chris. Chris seems like a really nice guy. He started by saying that he believed they were soul mates and he intends to marry her. Julie asked him how he felt about Daniele’s relationship with Nick. Chris said he wanted to believe that it was all strategy and game play. Before she went into the house she told him she loved him and to trust her. He seems like a really nice guy. He did admit that there were some things that hurt, Like when she was kissing (at least) Nick under the covers in bed. I don’t know, game play or no game play, she was playing a few too many games with Nick for me. If I was Chris, I’d have a few choice words for Daniele after she gets evicted.

The Jenuine Jen

The other house guest we got to learn a little more about tonight was Jen. They interviewed her mom, Anita, and her friend Kara. According to Anita Jen is a pretty smart cookie (but whose mom wouldn’t say that about their kid on national TV) Jen apparently had straight A’s in high school and had a double major of architecture and early childhood education in college. Anita just thinks that Jen made some bad first impressions and maybe once the house guests get to know her better they will come around. As for her drama queen episodes with her pictures, her family explains that away as Jen being a model and she tends to go over her photos with a fine tooth comb. Kara advice to Jen before going into the BB8 house was to dumb and not let them know how smart she is. Well she’s doing a fine job of that let me tell you. Could she really be a Jenius? I’m not really sure I’m convinced yet. She has a lot to overcome in my opinion but, here was enough in this interview though to at least make me watch Jen a little closer.

By a vote of 7 to 2 Mike has been evicted from the Big Brother House. I have to say Mike left the house as a class act. He stood up for his ally and paid the price. Maybe not a smart move, but you have to respect him. Eric failed in his assignment. He gave it a good shot but in the end he didn’t sway a single vote Kail’s way.

HOH Competition:
Tonight’s HoH competition: The Eliminator! Julie asks a series about the evicted house guests. The first house guest to buzz in and answers the question correctly by saying Carol, Joe, Mike, None gets to pick another house guest to be eliminated from the competition. If they answer the question incorrectly, they are eliminated instead.

Eric was eliminating house guests left and right. In the end he blew a question almost before Julie asked it. I almost wondered if he was trying to throw the competition so that he wouldn’t win HoH. Dustin pulled it out and won the HoH competition.
