It’s Eviction Night again on Big Brother 8 and we’re ready for the drama. In case you’ve missed things so far this week we’ve got Kail (again) and Eric (first timer) up on the chopping block under Daniele’s command. Eric’s surprise nomination has brought lots of drama during the week as I explained earlier in “What a difference a Dick makes.” We get nice little replays of all the scenarios that lead up to Eric’s dangerous situation. The quick of it is that Amber confessed a bad situation in her past to Eric, which he discussed with Dick and his intention to possibly use it against her in the future. Being the little devil that he is Dick ran back to Amber to use that against Eric so he could secure her vote. Amber then blew up in front of everyone and yelled at Eric for what he had done. It was actually the most coherent statement Amber has made all season. What they didn’t show you is what happened afterwards. You’ll have to go back and read my “what a difference” article to see for yourself.

The blow up from Amber was pretty funny when she got to the part about blaming Eric for Nick’s departure. I love how much the blame for Nick’s departure has been shifted around the house. Everyday someone different is taking the heat for that one. Amber told Eric, “Nick should be here in the good person’s group, not you.” Oh yes, the good person’s group. Amber is hilarious.

Dustin Gray Shirt

Chenbot announces that tonight we get our first round of questions from the outside world (that’s us!). This week’s questions are for Dustin. Julie asks Dustin, “why do you wear the same shirt day in, day out.” and “do you own any other shirts?” Hah! My wife and I ask the same thing about that gray shirt Dustin wears every episode. I think it’s the low, low cut of the shirt that I could do without, but that’s Dustin for ya. Dustin says he has three great t-shirts that he’s been wearing faithfully and has no plans to change his wardrobe.

Let’s get right to voting as I can’t wait to see what happens! This is our first nail biter of an eviction vote.

Live Voting Results:
Dick - Evict Eric
Jen - Evict Eric
Jessica - Evict Kail
Zach - Evict Eric
Jameka - Evict Kail
Dustin - Evict Kail
Amber - Evict Kail

By a vote of 4 to 3 Kail has been evicted from the Big Brother house! Haha, this is exactly how I predicted the votes would fall down to the person!! I was hoping for a little more of an explosion out of Dick, but both he and his daughter Daniele held their expressions closely guarded. Smart move considering they’re outnumbered at this point. Ah, well now the fun starts as Dick starts questioning Dustin. Dustin says, “it wasn’t me. We had a deal to vote Eric out.” Dick starts to mention the “mystery vote” again. I think we had a few more than just one “mystery vote.”

HOH Competition:
Tonight’s competition is called “Let’s make a duel”. This competition looks pretty cool, but very dangerous for these house guests! The game is played duel style with questions regarding comments made by evicted house guests in the diary room. If the guess is wrong the house guest is eliminated. If neither player guesses then both people are eliminated. The winner of each round picks the next two, so this is ideal for posing two people against each other that you don’t want to win as at least one will definitely be eliminated. Don’t forget that Jameka can’t play for another 5 weeks, so she’s already on the sideline.

To get the game started Daniele, as HoH, picks the first two players to face off. She wisely selects Eric and Dustin to duel first. Eric wins and selects Zach and Dick. Zach guesses wrong and is eliminated. Dick selects Jessica and Eric. The first round for this pair is hosed as Chenbot malfunctions and calls Eric “Nick” instead because Nick was actually the answer. Everyone (and by everyone I mean Dick and Daniele) shout at Julie that she revealed the answer. The second time around Jessica guess correctly and eliminates Eric. Jessica puts up Dick and Jen. Dick guesses wrong leaving Jen behind to put up Jessica and Amber, the only other two left. Amber guesses wrong, leaving only Jessica and Jen for the final vote-off. Jessica guesses correctly and is the new HoH! The crowd goes wild for her (including me). Dick doesn’t look too thrilled though. No kidding

Once Chenbot hands us back off to the game we see Dick already confronting Jameka and calling her a liar. Now that’s gonna be tough to prove as I think Jameka has been playing a pretty clean game. Dick starts telling Dustin to shut up, shut up, shut up. Hmm, I think Dick called this “vindication” in week 3.

America’s Player Assignment:
Who should Eric try to get nominated? Considering Jessica is in power this should be an easy one. But come on, do you really think we’ll see anyone other than Dick and Daniele on that block together?? I’d be amazed. You can vote online Big Brother 10
