It’s another week of television shows coming at you and we’re here to help. Here’s a break down by night of what you need to be sure to catch and what’s going on this week, August 13 - 17, 2007. Lots of reality TV again this week along with a few series running through the summer. Big Brother 8 is now in full swing with shows 3 nights a week. Awesome. I’ve really been enjoying Age of Love which ends this week, and Hell’s Kitchen. Sad news for all the pirate fans, but Pirate Master was canceled! Damn you CBS! Take a look and see what shows you don’t want to miss this week.
Monday:
So You Think You Can Dance?: 8-9pm on FOX; Two of the final six dancers are eliminated.
Hell’s Kitchen: 9-10pm on Fox; In the third season finale, tempers flare as the two finalists prepare one last dinner service at Hell’s Kitchen before Chef Ramsay picks a winner who earns a job running a restaurant at a Las Vegas casino-resort. More on Hell’s Kitchen.
Tuesday:
Big Brother 8: 9-10pm on CBS; The power of veto will be up for grabs to potentially offset Jessica’s nominations. Check out the rest of our Big Brother 8 coverage.
America’s Got Talent: 8-9:30pm on NBC; Final Performances - In Part 1 of the two-part Season 2 finale, the remaining eight acts perform in a bid to win $1 million. They are then trimmed down to four.
Singing Bee: 9:30-10pm on NBC; A karaoke-inspired competition in which contestants must finish the lyrics once the music stops. Read our review of Singing Bee.
Wednesday:
So You Think You Can Dance?: 8-9pm on FOX; In Part 1 of the two-part Season 3 finale, the remaining four dancers perform.
Last Comic Standing: 9-10pm on NBC; Challenge #3 - The Top 6 comics are tasked to induce laughs from the humor challenged, including models from Deal or No Deal. Then the comics face off against each other in a showdown.
Thursday:
Big Brother 8: 8-9pm on CBS; Jessica’s nominations are now up for live eviction. A new HoH will also be decided. Plus, more drama, as always! Check out the rest of our Big Brother 8 coverage.
So You Think You Can Dance?: 8-10pm on FOX; In the third-season finale, a winner is chosen.
Friday:
The Soup: 10-10:30 on E!; This is a great show that recaps the week’s entertainment news and non-news with great commentary by Joel McHale. He’s the supervisor character from those Burger King commercials set in an office. Don’t let that discourage you though, he’s really funny.
Sunday:
Big Brother 8: 8-9pm on CBS; The new HoH will reveal his or her nominations for this week. And, as always, more drama! Check out the rest of our Big Brother 8 coverage.
Design Star: 9-10pm on HGTV; The remaining six designers compete.
Check back here on Friday for my Weekend Movie Preview Lineup to see what your options will be.
