Seems likes its going to be another few exciting days in the Big Brother 8 house. I wasn’t sure if Dick would try to keep his head down and hope for an 11th hour redemption or just go all out Dick mode. I don’t know why I ever doubted ol’ Dick. The fireworks start when Dick grabs a pot lid and spoon and starts banging it over a sleeping Dustin. From there he goes on to start yelling at everyone else in the LNC-5. While all of it was nasty and mean I did get a few chuckles out of his mockery of Amber selling cigarettes in Vegas. I’m not too much of a fan of Amber though anymore, so I’m probably a little biased.
We get a few Hallmark moments between Dick and Daniele as he relishes his moments playing Dad. It’s actually nice to see, but geez it’s gotta be tough to love a guy that can be so nasty to everyone around him. I suspect some of this behavior is what drove this daughter and father apart in the first place. We also get to see how Jen is continuing to not really fit in anywhere in this game. Even if she makes it to the end I don’t see her having any solid votes to back her, though with no associations she may skate much further along that I used to think.
Veto Competition:
The veto competition gets started with the usual player selections. The base three are of course Jessica as HoH then Dick and Daniele as the nominees. Jessica pulls Jameka, Daniele pulls Dustin, and Dick pulls Zach. Should be tough competition, well except for Zach. Who knows what Zach is doing in this game anymore. Tonight’s competition, “Wicked Wickets” is a solo event, so just one player comes out at a time. Before the players get to swing the croquet mallets they have to drink nasty “shots” to earn a turn hitting the balls.
Up first is Jameka who can’t handle solid bits in drinks and therefore doesn’t do too well. Dustin is up next and he has no problem throwing these nasty drinks down the hatch. Zach comes out third and doesn’t even try most of them and finally decides, “you know what, I’m done.” Daniele gives it a real go and puts them all down except one. Dick is determined to do whatever it takes and has no problem sinking all of the drinks. Lastly is Jessica who doesn’t do well and actually throws up after one of them.
Time for the score card reveals. Zach only earned 3 strokes and gets 6 points. Jameka managed only 4 drinks and swings for a total of 10 points. Jessica gets 5 swings for her drinking efforts and puts them to good use for 17 points. Wow, she hit the final post twice! Daniele gets seven swings earns 20 points. Dustin gets a full 10 swings manages a leading 32 points. This of course puts “Richard” (very funny here as Eric calls Dick Richard instead) in the final play position with 10 swings to give us the most BB8 drama. It comes down to the last shot where Dick needs 4 points to tie and 5 points to win. So what do you think happens? Oh yes, Dick pulls it off and wins the Power of Veto. Hilarious.
After the veto competition there is a blowup, of course, between Daniele and, well at first just Jameka but then eventually everyone else. Daniele is upset that the house keeps blaming her for her father’s actions. You know what? I’m sick and tired of poor ol’ Daniele crying every week about how “no one knows what it’s like” and wah wah wah. You know why everyone blames her for her father’s actions? Because he’s doing it for her. He’s doing it to help her position and make him the bad guy to distract everyone from his daughter. So yeah, it’s not directly her fault, but she is still the cause of most of Dick’s stupid little games (I say stupid, but I still find most entertaining). Most of all when it’s convenient for Daniele she sides with her father, but when it gets tough and the heat is on she distances herself from him. This is a relationship of convenience for her and she’s pissing me off with this cry baby routine. Amber cries every 5 minutes because she’s a wreck. Daniele cries every 15 minutes because she’s too immature to handle this game. Okay, enough ranting. Feel free to blast me on that if you disagree.
America’s Player:
Eric assignment was to give the silent treatment to someone we, America, picked for him. The vote winner is revealed to be Jessica. What?! America, are you trying to destroy Eric’s game? Please, someone tell me if I’m alone in still liking Eric. If the majority of people are doing things like voting against Dustin and against Jessica then maybe I’m missing the boat here. Seriously, I’d like to hear you readers voice up and explain as I’m lost here.
Power of Veto Ceremony:
Dick took his daughter Daniele off the block. This forced Jessica to select a replacement and in a completely stupid, stupid move she put up Dustin. You can try to tell me it wasn’t stupid till you’re blue in the face, because taking away one of your group’s votes and putting that alliance member in danger is a terrible decision. I think this will definitely come back to haunt them. E-gad, Brain.

Eric doesn’t seem to be much better or worse than most of them. Name calling and assorted other vileness. What ticked me off is that the producers told Amber to vote out Kail instead of Eric. That’s just plain cheating. I don’t know if any governmental agency has jurisdiction over “reality” shows, but if one does there should be an investigation on a rigged show. Also Kail should have some civil action against CBS. I think that’s when more of the voters turned against Eric also.

I like Eric. He is probably doing the best he can being in the position that he is in. Do you know for sure that the producers told Amber to vote Kail out. No. All we know is that she was in the dairy room. I feel that he is getting a bum wrap. I would like to see Eric and Jessica as the final two. But I probably didn’t help him any this week, because I voted for him to vote out Dustin.

I’d certainly agree that Eric is playing pretty dirty too. He’s said some very rough things along the way.
I wasn’t aware of the producers telling Amber how to vote. I believed her whole “on my daughter’s life” routine.
I’d be surprised if there was really anything the gov’t could do about how CBS runs the show despite it being billed as “reality TV”. Considering how they (CBS) pick games each week to benefit one player over another I don’t think the producers influencing/controlling the game is anything new or going to stop any time soon either.

I’m still enjoying Eric as well. He’s a tough little guy in there and he’s doing pretty well considering all the crap that is getting thrown at him for just a few thousand dollars each week.
Oh I hope America voted against Dustin last night. I think it’s going to make for a very intense eviction night.

Here’s the link to the youtube clip that shows Amber telling Jameka that they told her to vote out Kail. This is just one example of how much fraud is going on. I don’t really care at this point who wins, as long as its fair. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_n6h967ussk
Have a nice day.

I can’t hear anything in it other than BB’s voice yelling at them. I’ll have to go back later with some headphones and see what they’re saying. Amber mumbles so damn much!
I believe you though about BB working to influence the players.
