Update: Check out our recap of tonight’s eviction episode to see the results!
It’s time to return to the Chopping Block tonight on Big Brother 8 as we’ll see who is going home: Dick or Dustin. Quick catch up from Tuesday’s PoV episode: Dick barely, barely pulled out a win in the PoV comp, saved Daniele, and Jessica freaked with paranoia and nominated Dustin as the replacement. Dustin was cool with this as he said he wants to mouth off to Dick and feels the chopping block is the ideal soap box. I think he’s crazy.
Dustin could be in some real danger here considering a few things I already hashed out in my discussion on “Dustin Is In More Danger Than He Realizes“. Lots of interesting feedback on that one from live feed viewers discussing how BB is trying to influencing the voting taking place to protect their ratings’ golden child Dick. I can’t blame them as he makes for a lot of interesting episodes that they won’t want to miss out on. Dustin on the other hand doesn’t do much other than act smug around the house. To each his own though.

Tonight we’ll also find out how we, America, voted for eviction. I think it’s an easy guess to say viewers are angling for Dustin to hit the road considering we saw the “get Dustin nominated” vote come in the other day. This is a pretty tough one to call as who knows where allegiances truly stand at this point. There is a lot of weight shifting in the house these days and anything could happen. It’s not so much “wishful thinking” but rather just anticipating a surprise turn of events when I say I think Dick will be sticking around another week.
Following the live eviction vote we’ll get our next HoH competition. I’m hoping for another endurance round as these are a lot of fun to watch. There will only be six house guests competing this week with Jessica on the sidelines as the outgoing HoH and Jameka still in her pointless 5 week stretch of no HoH chances. Those are some pretty good odds for those remaining to compete. Who do you want to win HoH this week? If Dick sticks around I’d of course like to see him get it for more “vindication” moments. Otherwise I’m indifferent on it.
Check back tonight after the show for the recap and to voice your thoughts on what’s going on in BB8. I’m excited to see what happens!

Dustin is so confident that he is staying that it will be priceless to watch the look of utter surprise when Julie says by a vote of “blank” Dustin you have been evicted from the bb house.

It would be hilarious. Amber would flood the house with tears. We need more “shocker” moments like that this season.

I agree! I think this will be the highest rated show for Thurs. Everyone is waiting to see the shock and awe. Eric will finally be outed by this also.

Oh definitely the highest ratings yet this season.
I hadn’t even considered Eric getting exposed as AP from all this. If he’s careful and convinces others to vote along with him then he might sneak it by them.

I feel bad for Eric because he is only doing what America is telling him to do even when it is not in his best interest. If Dustin goes tonight, the show will be exciting… not that I think Evel deserves to stay. He is great tv, though.

I completely agree. Eric has been a definite trooper about all the grief we give him. I wonder how many times a day he says, “why oh why did I agree to be America’s Player?”.
