Big Brother 8

BB8 Dustin

“By a vote of four to two, Dustin you have been evicted from the Big Brother house.” Bam! Dustin’s jaw dropped and hit a dead stare. The cameras quickly flipped to Amber where nothing seems to ever register and then back to a dazed and confused Dustin. Slowly he got up, got his hugs, said his goodbyes, and was out the front door to Julie’s Couch.

So what happened to our fiery little Dustin that caused him to slip from the safe confines of his LNC-5 to losing to the hated Evil Dick? At first I thought it was just arrogance. Dustin was incredibly smug and arrogant in this game as he floated along (no pun intended) with his group and even during his stint as HoH where he described Kail as being wrapped around his finger. But the more I looked at it I think that as much as I hate to say it, Joe was right, Dustin’s big problem was self-centered arrogance.

Dustin never stopped to really think about the dangers of being nominated against Dick. Matter of fact, he said to put him up so there could be a 5 - 1 vote against Dick. This demonstrated he wasn’t even considering the widely recognized partnership (dare I say alliance?) between D&D along with Jen. Reality didn’t play too much into Dustin’s visit to “reality TV”.

Never, ever put yourself into a position to end up on the block. You can’t go home if you’re not on the block. Period. It’s that simple. But instead Dustin wanted to put on a big show and go up against Dick so he could give a grand speech and be the center of attention for 10 seconds on Thursday night. How ya feeling about that speech now, buddy? Not so much, huh? I didn’t think so.

I don’t think Dustin could have possibly won this game, but he was playing a pretty decent game. I do think he could have survived into the Top 5, probably, if he had kept focusing on his game and not worrying about being the center of attention for just a moment. Not only did Dustin screw himself, but he allowed his LNC-5 to unravel even further from the original LNC, leaving an LNC of 2. Well really it’s an LNC of 1 as Jameka can’t even fight for her team.

Nicely done Dustin. You wasted your chance in this game. I hope you’re happy with your decision, but I think it’s safe to say you’re not. Maybe they’ll send you somewhere nice for sequester. See you in a month for the finale vote. Big Brother 10

Ding Dong the last queer is gone!

Say what you would like about Evel Dick’s rude and crude attitude, but he calls them like he sees them and in the end comes out smelling like a rose. He and Daniele have been the closest to actually figuring out what has been going on in this house and know the most about each person. Kudos!

Looking forward to more BB and hopefully in the words of Rodney King…. “Hope they all can get along!”

    Congrats Dick and Daniele!

Dustin certainly got what he deserved! The look of shock on his face was priceless. Who might win BB8?? Is Eric now in a solid place to win this? First, I am for the most part, an overall fan of Dick’s and have to agree that yes, he definitely crossed the line with his behavior. With that said, I am realistic as to looking at the overall picture as to who the better player is in my opinion. Last night it came to me that Eric has had to maneuveur through some very tricky situations considering it was not him, but America making his decision(s) for him. It’s placed him in a very solid position and when I look at the players as individuals and their gameplay, it came to me that Eric could very well win this, especially if he were seated next to ED in the final 2.
