Tonight on Big Brother 8 we’ll learn who our new HoH, Daniele, will be nominating for this week. After last week’s shocker eviction of Dustin over Dick (well I wasn’t shocked, I predicted each vote just right) this was a crucial win for the Donatos and will keep them in power long enough to get rid of the only person seriously challenging their rule, for the moment. Having hit the half way mark in the season I think we’re finally seeing all the realignments amongst alliances that I was suspecting to happen. Eric and Jessica are a pretty decent duo, but to see them make it much further they were going to have to eventually team up with the top duo in the house, Dick and Daniele of course. That leaves another four people in the house that could, and should, team up if they want any hope of survival. I think we all know that won’t happen though.

I don’t think we’ll have many surprises at tonight’s nomination ceremony. There are only two people not voting in synch with everyone else at this point. That would Jameka and Amber, making them great big easy targets. Friday night on the live feeds Amber must have experienced a moment of lucidity as she correctly assessed that Jameka and her had just become the new Jen and Kail. You’ll remember that Jen and Kail went weeks on end of being repeatedly nominated before finally seeing Kail exit and Jen quietly withdrawing to the shadows.

The good news for the majority of the house guests is that they have a majority. This week should be relatively calm as they cut the fat and let Amber hit the road. I say Amber because it’d be stupid to get rid of Jameka over Amber considering Jameka is a sitting duck for 3 more weeks. Then again this house has thrived on stupid for most of the season.
