Five years after the FBI began an investigation into Steven Seagal over alleged mafia connections and the harassment of a journalist the once hot action movie hero is demanding an apology. Seagal’s spokesman, which probably just means Seagal but in a different voice, released a statement to the Los Angeles Times:
“False FBI accusations fueled thousands of articles saying that I terrorize journalists and associate with the Mafia,” Seagal told the newspaper. “These kinds of inflammatory allegations scare studio heads and independent producers — and kill careers.”
Seagal, 56, was once a major star of action movies such as 1992’s “Under Siege,” which earned $156 million at worldwide box offices, but now he makes straight-to-DVD releases such as “Flight of Fury and “Attack Force.”
Ironically, I think it’s actually Steven Seagal movies that kill Steven Seagal movies. In case you’re not Steven Seagal or a cast member of one of his straight-to-DVD movies then you’ve probably been missing on lots of classic Seagal lines. No worries though, The Soup has compiled the best of his worst for you in the video clip below.

I’d never claim that Mr. Seagal is one of our greatest actors but one must bear in mind that he has acted in and even produced some very popular films. Add to that his musical abilities not to mention his mastery of Aikido and I find it difficult to see why you insist on holding him up to ridicule. As far as the one liners in his movies, many action heros have used this technique. And, as I always point out, what have you done that puts you in a position to judge anyone? Are you one of these self proclaimed critics? I’d like to see you run your mouth to Mr. Seagal in person. I’d pay admission to that event.
