Spoiler Free Zone ahead: We may know what’s going on with the live feeds, but for now we’ll keep this from ruining any broadcast surprises.

Tonight on Big Brother 8 we’ll learn who our new HoH, Jessica, will be nominating for this week in her second reign as HoH. The ladies seem to be ruling the house this year as the HoH has been a female six of the eight weeks so far with four of those six being held by either Daniele or Jessica. Mighty impressive ladies. To be fair, Dick nearly secured his second turn as HoH on Thursday and missed it by just one round. Lucky for him though the win went to Jessica, a member of his four person alliance. This grouping has proven to be very worthwhile week after week here. I’m hoping we’ll see them stay true to their word and ride it out to the final four. Those sort of agreements seem to break down every year, but considering they have little resistance (Amber, Jameka, and Zach) I think they can probably do it this time.

With just those three options for nominations tonight, if Jessica decides to remain true to her alliance, the selection should be pretty easy. Considering only two of the three have any chance of competing in the following HoH I would definitely nominate Amber and Zach. Downselecting from their for the real target would then be based on looking back at who has the strongest run in the competitions. That would surprisingly be Amber over the lackadaisical Zach who really seems to be half-assing his way through this house. Out of everyone left I’d consider Zach to be the biggest floater. So back to the potential noms, I think we’ll see Amber and Zach up there. Then looking out over the week’s horizon should one of those two win the PoV I’d expect to see Jameka go up on the block but still focus elimination on the remaining nominee from the original selection.

Things could get tricky this week though if cards fall in a very specific pattern. Let’s look at the following potential situation: Jessica nominates Amber and Zach; Jameka competes in PoV and wins, removing Amber; Jessica is forced to nominate someone from her alliance as Jameka is protected by PoV. Now that is not a good series of events for her four member team. I wouldn’t expect her to put up Eric for obvious reasons so she’d have to pick from either Dick or Daniele. Of those two I think we’d see Dick end up on the block as he’d probably tell Jessica not to put up Daniele. So now enters temptation for Eric and Jessica. They could decide to Judas their alliance and sink Dick, leaving Daniele to fend for herself. While it might initially appear tempting I think it’d be a bad choice and here’s why: they still need the numbers. When it comes down to the next HoH competition they (the 4 person, nameless alliance) they could either have 3 people fighting for them (Daniele, Dick, and Eric) or just Eric as either D or D remaining would now be against them. Hmm. Considering Eric has won zero HoH’s while Daniele and Dick have won 3 combined HoH’s I think that decision is made abundantly simple: don’t screw your alliance yet.
