Tonight’s episode is being delayed by the pre-season NFL games in certain parts of the country. I’ve included details gleaned from across the net for the eviction details. The HoH competition is an endurance race tonight and it’s running live right now. I’ll keep updating things w/ screenshots and commentary.

It’s Eviction Night again on Big Brother 8 so we’re going to find out if it will be Zach or Amber going home. I’ve already made my eviction prediction on who I think will be heading off to sequester. Don’t forget that when/if (better be “when”!) reporters won’t be able to ask Amber about her racist comments, per CBS restrictions.

America’s Player, Eric, gets his marching orders as he’s told to make sure Amber is evicted tonight. Excellent. I really didn’t like how Amber was trying to convince Jessica that Eric was playing her and didn’t really like her. Oh yes, Amber is such a “good person”. Grrr…

It’s time for the voting as the house guests decide if Amber or Zach will go to sequester.

By a vote of 3 to 1 Amber has been evicted from the Big Brother house. I’m not surprised at all. The JEDD alliance seemed to be sticking together pretty strong on getting rid of “Waahhamber” as she’s being labeled (which I find hilarious).

HOH Competition:
6:05 PST Okay, the HoH comp is an endurance race and is running right now on the live feeds, get ‘em while ya can!! There are only four people competing: Daniele, Dick, Eric, and Zach. They’ve each got a little scooper and have to fill a gigantic fish bowl with colored water from their respective over-sized tea kettles. They just keep walking back and forth, trying to walk very slowly to not spill anything. Reminds me of people carrying eggs on spoons. I’ll keep updating as it goes along, so keep checking back… Eric just said he thought it’d take 4 hours to complete this task! OMG.

6:25 PST Jessica just gave her best Madden commentary and said Daniele appeared to be winning while Eric was in last place. It’s hard to tell from this view, but I’m hoping Jess just said that to motivate him. Zach wants to know if it’s okay to strip completely naked. Daniele said it would be very distracting. Ugh! Okay, it’s also appears that BB is spraying the “lanes” each player has with “butter” to make it extra slippery for them. Everyone is kinda gliding, skating down their lanes from end to end.

6:40 PST It’s mostly just small talk between the players. Eric really thinks he has broken his back (not literally I guess). He then goes on to ponder how much it’d suck for Daniele to start her period in the middle of the game. Ugh. Zach is talking about being grateful for working out to help his endurance. Dick isn’t saying much at all for a change! Eric thinks they’ve been going for about 40 mins. Daniele says 20 mins. Jameka thinks 30 mins. It’s closer to 40 mins. Eric’s guess about it taking 4 hours may actually be too conservative. At this point Daniele appears to be in the lead. Actually, scratch that, at a different angle Zach appears to be just a touch ahead. It’s really difficult to be sure. Take a look at the video and see what you think.

6:45 PST Jameka just gave us another unofficial update with the current rankings: #1 Dick, #2 Zach, #3 Daniele, and #4 Eric. Come on Eric!! You can see Zach’s (red) lead over Daniele (blue).

7:00 PST Jameka is bored and heads inside to grab a drink. “My dog is gone,” says Jameka. She keeps going on about Amber being gone and isn’t too happy about it. Heading back outside she cuts her commentary off. Zach starts going the Meow Mix song, which is really just “meow meow” and so the feeds jump away quickly (copyright issues). Jameka and Jess think Daniele’s height is a disadvantage as she has to stop and step up to get to her water and bowl.

7:05 PST One hour into the fishbowl and teacup endurance competition and it looks like Zach (red) and Dick (dark blue/purple) are very, very close. Daniele (light blue) continues to hold onto #3 but isn’t terribly far behind Zach & Dick. Now Eric on the other hand isn’t doing so hot at all. Barring any slip and falls from the other three I’d say Eric is out of this race already. Dang. Jameka says Daniele is about 5 cups behind the two leaders.

7:15 PST The feeds have jumped to trivia for several minutes now. I’m anxious to see what they’re hiding from us. I’ll update as soon as they’re back. In the mean time, why not check out our new site: Audio Video - Your Guide to Home Theater. Thanks!

7:25 PST The feeds were back for just a moment and we saw Daniele running across her lane. Dick asked if she was okay, to which she of course replied, “No!” Back on trivia. Grrr…

7:30 PST Back from trivia. Okay, the game has changed a little as BB took pity on the players. They now all have two cups each to speed their work. Heck, I’d let them keep going as they were before! Looks like Zach and Dick remain very close while Daniele is getting further behind. Eric has begun to cheer on the others while he continues, but it’s obvious his efforts aren’t worth much at this point.

7:40 PST I think Zach has this one in the bag, but people aren’t far behind, so don’t slow down! Dick remains in second. Daniele is third. Eric is struggling in fourth place.

7:55 PST And we have our new HoH! The winner this week is Zach!

Congratulations to Zach! I wonder if he will realize what a clutch win this was for him. I suspect he’ll put up Dick and Daniele as he tried to get Eric and Jessica to do last week. Then again, Zach seems just as anxious to get rid of Eric these last few days. One thing is for sure, the JEDD alliance is done following this surprise win by Zach.
