Big Brother 8

Spoiler Discussion: Careful BB8 readers, we’ve got some discussions on what’s going on in the house that will influence the events on Thursday night. Enjoy another post from our Big Brother 8 section if you’d rather stay completely surprised come tomorrow.

The worst seems to be crashing into the worst here for Jessica. Last night we saw Daniele win the PoV, making her quite the mini-Janelle these days, and decide not to use it. With that win and subsequent decision in place it certainly solidifies any uncertainty that remained for me on whether we’d see Jameka, Jessica, or any PoV replacement heading out to sequester. The options are limited at this point and I don’t really blame any of the players for their decisions, but I will be sorry to watch on Thursday night as what I expect to happen rolls out.

There are only three votes for the first eviction on Thursday (Yeah, that’s right, I said first. Where have you been? Catch-up!) so going down the roster won’t take us long. First up is the easiest, obvious vote from Eric. Eric will absolutely stay behind his girl here and vote against Jameka. This remains the smartest move for Eric as Jessica definitely has his back and it’d be a terrible move to cut your one, true alliance partner at this stage. That’s more of a final three situation! So that gives us a 1 - 0 vote against Jameka.

Now let’s shift over to the slippery and sneaky Donatos. While the JEDD alliance seemed pretty tight and honorable about being in the final four together, especially last week when Eric passed on his chance to screw over D&D, it looks like that alliance has crumbled. It’s tough to say if this would have still happened if one of the three JEDD members had won the HoH instead of Zach but it looks like the Donatos are ready to sip from the betrayer’s cup that Eric passed on last week. In a rather sneaky move Dick and Daniele have decided to keep Jameka and send Jessica packing. This is definitely the smartest game play move, as I noted before and while I’m sorry to see them go back on their word I am in no way surprised.

Before I fully cast those two votes against Jessica let me explain D&D’s plan. Right now Dick has informed Jameka that she is going home while telling J&E that Jessica is safe. However, Daniele and Zach are in on Dick’s plan which is to wait until right before the Live Eviction to tell Jameka that he’ll keep her in the house if she’ll promise them the PoV should she win it this upcoming week as she can’t support them through the HoH competition, still. Here’s where things get even trickier. Let’s pretend Jameka tells Dick to go shove his plan (I don’t think she’d actually say that, but we’re pretending so in that case she’d also karate kick him!). What then? I think D&D would still keep Jameka because they’re afraid of Jessica, and rightfully so! But here’s the best part. Let’s pretend in the other direction and Jameka agrees to the terms and D&D vote to keep her. Well this week there is no PoV for the HoH and his/her nominations! It’s going straight into a 2 person vote, which means there is no way for Jameka to honor her deal and she gets off free and clear. Sneaky, meet Sneaky.

All that fun speculating aside, things still look very grim for Miss Jessica. Since there are only three votes this week the Donatos hold all the power on deciding who stays and who goes. As such, I’m placing my bets on the 2 - 1 vote against Jessica.

After just a short nine weeks I’m surprised to say that I’ll be sorry to see Jessica go. Looking back at that very first night in the house I thought I’d have to stuff my ears with cotton to deal with Jessica and her high pitched, valley girl voice. That shifted as I saw she was actually a pretty decent competitor in the events with two HoH victories (currently tied with mini-Janelle, Daniele, for the most HoH wins) and even her budding romance with Eric. While Eric hasn’t been a prince most of this game I’ve certainly enjoyed getting to pick in on his and her relationship. Now compare that with “bee’s knees” and “here’s the key to my heart/luggage” and I’d take Jessica and Eric over Daniele and Nick any day.

What are your predictions for this week’s vote? Do you agree with my BB8 eviction predictions or do you think things might work out a little differently? I’d be interested to hear your opinion, so feel free to share it below in the Comments section.

My vote for the bb8 would be for Eric. He has truly played the game and that is what it is all about. It only goes to show what people will do for money; lie, cheat, deceive, play dirty. Money is money

I really, really, really don’t want to see Jessica go. I definitely don’t want a D&D final two.

I think I’d probably cherry pick Eric from the remaining players to be the overall winner. He’s had a lot more obstacles to work around (created by us, America), but he’s managed to survive them all. I’m really concerned that he could be the second one out the door right behind Jessica though if he doesn’t beat D&D for the second eviction on Thursday.

Me neither. Jessica has really grown on me over the season. A D&D finale would be disappointing, but I think it’s a real possibility unless we get another Zach-like fluke HoH win.

How about…expect the unexpected? Here’s a real twist idea. Jameka and Jessica are saved and they get to turn the tables & each girl gets to pick 1 person to be evicted.

    I definitely don’t want D or D to win!!!!!

  6. Matt

Haha, that’d be very unexpected. Or maybe the unexpected will be that Zach is actually Julie Chen in a body suit. Eh? Sadly, neither will probably turn out to happen.

I believe that tonight we will see both Jameka and Jessica go and the D & D will be in the finals. I still have hope for Eric.

  8. Matt

That’d certainly be a smart move as Jameka is pretty well liked amongst the jury members when compared to D&D or Eric. That would definitely give Eric a shot at making it to the end, which I hope he does.
