Last week following the double eviction episode where we saw Jessica and then Eric get evicted we were left with a cliff hanger. Who is going to win the next HoH? Tonight we’ll learn what happened and who is the new HoH. With only four people left this could be a real game shifter of a moment, or it could keep things going in the direction they are (D&D ruling the house). Not only will we see who wins the HoH competition but we’ll also get the nominations that will lead us to the final three house guests.
Before we get to all that goodness CBS fills us with lots of time with recaps scenes from Thursday’s eviction episode. I guess when there are only four people left there isn’t as much fresh drama to share. I enjoyed the PoV replay where Daniele spends the entire time whining and crying that she was getting hit by the rubber balls. Perhaps a little meat on those bones would protect you there, Daniele.
Dick explains that all of the remaining house guests have some sort of arrangement. The obvious is with his daughter, Daniele. Next he has Zach in a long running agreement. Lastly, he just secured Jameka’s agreement that over the next two weeks anything she has is theres. Literally, that was their agreement. Geez. Jameka needs to keep a lawyer in her pocket to prevent some of these arrangements she commits to in that house!
HoH Competition
Tonight’s competition is named “Picture This” where the house guests have to play memory recall game based on images displayed earlier on the Memory Wall. Everyone but Dick is allowed to compete as he is the outgoing HoH. Each question will present a chance for the players to move up on the staircase in hopes of reaching the top first and becoming the new HoH. Wow, these are really tough as the questions are small details like “what was the color of Dustin’s shirt” and “how many people were wearing sunglasses”. I would not do too well on this one. Zach takes an early one step lead but Daniele catches up while Jameka trails several behind. Zach and Daniele reach the top together and Jameka is dismissed for the final tie-breaker round. The last question is “How many houseguests were there, total, in all the images on the Memory Wall?” Zach’s answer is: 59; Daniele’s answer is: 58. The correct answer is: 69. Daniele throws her tablet to the ground but then quickly turns and gives him a hug. Zach is the new HoH. Zach says he is ready to start wielding his power.
In light of the situation Dick decides to do this a little damage control by going to Zach and discusses how much the jury likes Jameka. It looks like at this point Zach understands he has to do something about the Donatos before he has to face both of them in the final three. This conversation is followed up with a talk between Zach and Jameka. Zach says he needs her to win the PoV so she can be the sole vote and send Daniele home. So his plan is to nominate both Dick and Daniele. Let’s see if he lives up to his plan.
One more round of conversations between Daniele and Zach in the HoH room. Daniele comes in playing whiny, bratty girl telling him how he needs to play and that her dad is the reason he’s still here. Zach calls that a lie and Daniele gets pissed off and leaves while saying “do whatever is better for you.” Wow. No kidding Daniele. Zach isn’t Nick and he isn’t your dad, so he isn’t here to play the game to best suit you. What a princess. Dick follows this up with an argument telling Zach he needs to honor their final three agreement. Um, or what? Zach is the HoH this week which means he’s secured a spot in the final three. From there if he’s up against Dick or Daniele neither one of them is going to keep him for the final two unless he earns that spot. So what possible reason does Zach still have to honor that agreement? None. Not a drop in the Big Brother pool. Yet Dick expresses the same entitlement attitude as did Daniele that they deserve to be in the final three. I still think Zach is doing the right thing here as there’s no one else he should be watching out for other than himself.
Nominations
The final four gather at the new, tiny table. Zach explains he’s here to play, not make friends. He plans to keep playing and has done it so far on his own. Zach says he hates Dick’s tactics, but they’ve worked. He also says that Daniele has dominated in the competitions. Both Dick and Daniele verbally challenge him back at his every word with Daniele laughing at his word. I’m very ready to be done with Daniele and have her off this show. Jameka says she’s wow’d by the turn of events, but I’m not. This was the smartest thing he could do at this point. I hope it works out for him.

I wonder if there is any recapper on the internet that isn’t anti Donatos. Zach’s nomination speech was easily the most ridiculous speech in the history of BB and I can’t believe that nobody has pointed that out. The fact is, plenty of people could’ve taken them out, but they won their way out of both staying on the block each time and made deals to secure their safety. Zach himself did not put both D/D up, so his self-righteous attitude is laughable. On top of that, so suggest that D/D’s dominance of the game is unfair is even more stupid! Dani busted her butt to win the competitions, nothing unfair about that. Zach doesn’t deserve to win the game at all. A Donato final two is the only fitting ending for this season.

Oh I’d agree that Zach’s speech wasn’t too good and didn’t make much sense, but what drove me nuts was how badly the Donatos acted throughout it. Every nom speech is stupid, but no one sat there mocking and laughing at Daniele either time while she tried to talk like she did to Zach.
Yes, the Donatos are dominating the house, so why do they need to act like little brats that aren’t getting their way? They’re going to get their way just like they have all season, so they need to chill out and grow up.
