Update: Check out our recap of tonight’s final HoH competition episode.
Spoiler Zone: Careful, we’ve got spoiler discussions regarding this week’s ongoing HoH 3 Round Competition. If you’d rather not know what’s going on then browse through our Big Brother 8 section for safer discussions.
Tonight on Big Brother we’ll see our final competitions of the eighth season. Following Zach’s victory in the first part of the HoH finale on Tuesday night we’ll get to see the 2nd and 3rd rounds play out. The 2nd round took place on Wednesday, but the third and final part will be live on Thursday night. At this point I don’t think there will be a huge variation in the results based on which Donatos plays against Zach. Both Dick and Daniele have proven their abilities in the thinking challenges already, but don’t count Zach out just yet as he outreached Daniele in the most recent HoH.
The side effects of who wins tonight’s third round will be major. If Zach keeps his streak alive and gets a third HoH then he’ll have a tough choice. No one in the jury house is crazy about the Donatos, but I think several of them are willing to look past their differences to identify their game play. Daniele has outperformed her father, which could earn her several votes for her Janelle-like ability to rock competitions. Dick has managed to pull off more manipulations and controlling maneuvers in the house, also potentially earning him jury respect. If I was Zach I’d throw my ball into Dick’s court and take him along for the Final 2. There are just too many ladies in the jury that were creeped out by Zach and may welcome the chance to vote for a fellow female over a guy that made them uncomfortable. Compare that to Zach against Dick, who fought with just about every person in the house, especially Jury member Jen. Should Zach win this 3rd round I’d expect him to take Dick to the final round, if he wants to win that is.

Now jump over to the other side. Should the Donato (either one) beat out Zach in the final stage it will be obvious who will be sent packing. Dick and Daniele have played this game back to back the entire way. Dick pointed out recently that within the first hour of being in the house he had teamed up with his daughter and they’ve worked together ever since. So all things considered one of the Donatos would have to literally stab the other to not be taken to the Final 2 should the other one win. Now that would make for some BB entertainment!
Who do I think will win this third round in the final HoH competition? A Donato. Just based on what we’ve seen in the past I believe the Big Brother stars will align and shine down upon Dick or Daniele to give them the win. While I might not like their personalities (Could you imagine working for Dick or dealing with Daniele daily?) I do think they’ve played an outstanding game this season and have likely earned those final two seats. The jury might not like it and grit their teeth over the idea of unavoidably delivering $550,000 to the Donatos, but that’s the way I see it playing out.

If Zack wins round 3, then the jury vote will have some interesting twists available, but if it is a Donato vs Donato, the last show is a bust and I’ll watch Nascar reruns on the speed channel.

Agreed re Donatos — won’t bother watching if it’s them in final two. Will regret it if the jury unaminously gives up their stipends and refuses to give the money to either of them, because I would enjoy seeing that.

Ahh, if the Donato’s are in the final two, they deserve to be there. Say what you want about their tactics, but ED played this game like a violin. Maybe he wasn’t very nice, but they aren’t getting paid to be nice, they are getting paid IF they win this game. Yes, Danielle is whiney, but I haven’t seen a season yet where we didn’t have some type of whiner. You can always say what you would or wouldn’t do, but you’ll never know for sure unless you’re in that house. Kudo’s to the Donato’s - whether I agree with their tactics or not.

CBS has assured that the Donato’s remain in the game! They have encouraged and perhaps demanded…that the houseguests not vote them out! I didn’t realize the “Extreme Intimidation” on Dick’s part was the way to play the Big Brother Game…what has happened to the producers of this game?
Dick’s cheating is excused…because his son’s letter came to late in the game?….If that had been anyone else…they would have been sent pakcing immediately! Dick and Dani have whined and bullied their way to the end. Great….give them the money and be happy CBS…you bought them the WIN at the expense of every other house guest!

I hope Zach takes it all. Two Donatos in the end means I won’t watch. I have already decided this is the last BB for me, after this hateful season.
September 13th, 2007 at 2:24 pm
I totally agree with Shell, they deserve to win, they have played an outstanding game, and remember this is all about a game and they have BOTH played damn good! I am looking forward to seeing the 2 of them in the final 2 seats…I could sit here and bash Zac for ALOT of stuff, but I wont and thats because I know if I was in that house, I would do WHATEVER it took to get to the final 2…And if that meant being a b***h to ppl, then so be it! Its all good…What are we complaining for, we love the show even if it doesnt always go our way!
September 13th, 2007 at 2:27 pm
If it wasn’t for CBS the Donatos wouldn’t be in the positions they are in. Dick would have long ago been excused or given penalty nominations. He cheats and CBS smiles on him. The final blue ball POV issue is pushing it over the top. I’m suspecting one more twist…and that is Dick being called out on every cheat he made…along with the abusive behavior.
September 13th, 2007 at 2:27 pm
I don’t like the Donatos, especially Dick. He’s rude and crude. If he wins, I won’t watch the next season of Big Brother, and I’ve watched them all. I feel the producers should have stepped in and tamed down his obnoxiousness.
September 13th, 2007 at 3:54 pm
THE DONATOS DON`T DESERVE TO WIN. CBS WAS VERY UNFAIR TO JAMEKA AND JEN BUT THEY LET DICK DO WHATEVER HE WANTED TO.
CBS LOST CREDIBILITY. IF THE DONATOS ARE FINAL 2 I GO TO BED.
September 13th, 2007 at 4:10 pm
you not watching hurts no one. just you. It is a game and should be watched as one. we all have our favorites but come on. It is just like you are pouting
September 13th, 2007 at 4:17 pm
Goodnite to those who will not watch Dani and Dick if they are final 2. I hope so much they are final 2. I have also watched every bb and enjoyed every one and I will watch the next one. No use putting the ones that are not my favorites down. They all played their game and entertained us all summer. Good luck to all and I do want Dick to win.
September 13th, 2007 at 4:37 pm
No one really cares if you don’t watch anymore bb! In fact it’s ridiculous people like you that look at this a a personal attack on houseguests and IT’S A GAME!!!!! The Donato’s DESERVE to WIN IT ALL! CBS did not in anyway help them along! The only UNFAIR part to this whole game is the jury gets to choose the winner and that is crapt because most of the stop seeing it as a game once they are evicted and judge on their own personal likes and dislikes. This should change.

I have been thoroughly disgusted with Dick at times, but he has manuevered himself into the final 3 and that’s no small feat. Trust me, a game-minded person is not going to go along with CBS or BB8 staffers subliminally coercing them to vote a certain way if it means giving up the chance to win $500,000.00–so I don’t put much faith in that opinion. It’s hard living in a fishbowl, so to speak, and make good decisions based on what you think you know and what you know to be true. And if I was stuck in the same house without a phone, tv, etc., for 3 months I’d be whiny too (and 21 years old, I might add!!!). Good grief. I think this is the only season I have watched where I truly think I will be satisfied no matter who wins. Even if it’s nerdy ole Zach.

The Evil ED, would have been gone long ago, had Eric, not been kept from voting out ED by BB call-in’s (Paid Eviction) Who knows how many votes there really was? Eric would have sent him packing long ago. FK the DONATO’s …The casting was in his favor from jump. ZACH is winning the game.
September 13th, 2007 at 5:54 pm
I could not stand Zach in the beginning, but GOOOOOOO Zach!!!!! Why???? Because Dick and Danielle both suck at life and being decent human beings. I would rather see a HUGE prize money bonfire than see those scum bags get the loot. I don’t respect their gameplay and I truly believe that if CBS wasn’t such a group of douchebags, that Dick should have gotten tossed out for the severe verbal abuse. No person should be allowed to treat another like that and if it happened outside of CBS confines someone would have stepped in and beat that 44yr. old *#hitbags face in. “big brother” did not live up to it’s name, as my older bro would NEVER tolerate anyone being treated like that. I hope Dick chokes on all that crud he spits. Totally foul!
September 13th, 2007 at 6:10 pm
The Donotos are the only two who do deserve to win they played the best they hid behind no one they played for themselves when needed and for the the other when needed you guys need to grow up.
September 13th, 2007 at 6:33 pm
I really hope that Danielle does not win. She played on her fathers coat tails and never took responsiblity for any of her actions. She did not play the game she played her dad. As for ED I agreed with most everyone else, he is a mean and useless person. You can win this game without being a jerk as we have seen in previous seasons of BB. I did not like Zach a first but he played even better than Dick did, he stayed under the redar til just the right time then he stepped up his game and made it to here. CBS did not buy the Donatos this season but they did lose a lot of viewers by allowing him to belittle people’s religion and the insulting, demeaning, and cruel way he spoke to everyone including his own daughter. It is a game as most have pointed out but it also has rules and they are being ignored for rating but this will have reverse consequences next season. I will watch the season ender if only to hear what people have to say to which ever Donato makes it. I would really like to see everyone in the jury house refuse to vote if it comes down to ED and Danielle and see what CBS does then.
September 13th, 2007 at 6:35 pm
I agree with Paula. Dick and Danielle have outplayed the others by a long shot and I believe they should win. Either one winning is fine with me. I believe if Dick wins he will split the money with his daughter anyway.
Go Donotos.
September 13th, 2007 at 6:56 pm
I hope Zach wins HoH and rubs the Donatos, Big Brother and CBS’s nose in it. The only reason the Donatos are in the final 3 is becase Big Brother and CBS manipulated the entire show to guarantee it. D&D have cheated and have gotten away with it because CBS considers them ratings gold. What’s next - a sitcom with D&D? A reality show ala Rob and Amber? Here’s my suggestion - Dick and Danielle would make great NBA referees - they already got the cheating part down pat.

U people who believe a conspiracy was in effect need to get ahold of reality. I’ve watched all 7 seasons and not once has the person I’ve wanted to win won. Finally in the 8th season the best gamers will win. 4 all u crybabies, sleep well! The nerd herd lovers r asleep. Americas player was what made it equal for us the fans. Inside the house it was a popularity contest that we had no say in. This season we did and WE got it right as a whole. Mary Brown congrats on the well placed insight. GO DONATOS!!!
September 13th, 2007 at 9:26 pm
i agree, go donatos, i hope they are in the final two. that is basically the only way one of them will win. even if the jury doesn’t like zach they will still vote for him over D&D. they ruled the whole game, love em or hate em they deserve to win.
September 13th, 2007 at 9:27 pm
I have watched and enjoyed all 8 seasons of big brother. I know that is a game of lies and betrayals. I agree its a game. What I can’t stand is the fact that everytime ED was in a little trouble in the game he would go off. What I especially don’t like is what he said to Zach after Zach won HoH that they had a deal to go to the final 3. Well, didn’t they have a deal with Eric and Jessica to go to the final 4. Why is it when someone else in the game lied the two of them went off but when they do it, it is perfectly alright. Yes they both played a good game. I’d prefer it if ED won because at least he was up front about his tactics. It makes me a little angry that I have been subject to this form of favoritism by the network. I have waited every year and tuned in with great enthusiasum and this is what I get. Well thats my fault for watching I guess. If possible I would love the jury to abstain from voting. Now that would be reality television at its finest. But all this is just a rant. I watched the damn show so I am the one to blame for my anger. Gee I wonder who is to blame for ED’s. I wonder if he kisses his momma with that mouth of his. Good luck to the final 2. Enjoy the finale everyone
September 13th, 2007 at 9:36 pm
Remember that when ED goes off, its a distraction tactic that obviously worked 2 keep the heat off Dani. Its obvious that the morons have gone nighty night bcuz even those that dont like the Donatos r at least speaking w/ intelligence. But PLEASE stop w/ the crap that CBS & BB8 are in cohoots to piss all of us off by rigging the game. You people cant b serious right? GO DONATOS!!!
September 13th, 2007 at 10:19 pm
how do you guys feel now? GO DONOTOS!!!!!!!!!
