Sans a white Bronco, O.J. Simpson was arrested this morning in Las Vegas on charges of armed robbery in connection with an incident on Thursday in the Palace Station casino-hotel. The Associated Press reports:

Several police officers were seen entering the hotel where Simpson is staying; a security guard said police took Simpson out a side door shortly after.

At least one other person has been arrested and police said earlier Sunday that as many as six people could be arrested in connection with the alleged armed robbery that occurred in a room inside the Palace Station casino-hotel on Thursday.

Simpson, 60, has said he and other people with him were retrieving items that belonged to him. He told police no guns were involved.

Earlier this weekend the alleged victim of the situation, Alfred Beardsley, changed his story saying now that nothing wrong had happened. He claimed that if he hadn’t called the police and reported a robbery his insurance wouldn’t have covered the merchandise. Um, if it wasn’t stolen then why would your insurance need to cover it? Maybe OJ placed a call to the guy and reminded him, “I’m not saying I’d kill you, but if I did it this is how I’d do it…”
