As I watched the season recap last night, I realized that Big Brother 8 was just chock full of complete nutters. In seasons past on Big Brother there have always been one or two real nut jobs in the house, you know just to make things interesting. This season though CBS out did itself. The BB8 house is like Bedlam without the straight jackets. Now I’m no health professional, but in my personal opinion there are a few folks in this house who needed some help. Lets take a quick look back at the mental health of some of this season’s house guests:
Kail: She seemed like a really nice lady. Frankly, I’m not sure if she really wasn’t a little bit crazy or she just hid it better than all of the other house guests.

Mike: He seemed like a good guy. Pretty stable at least until he threw himself on his sword for no apparent reason. Maybe not the brightest guy in the world but probably not too crazy.

Jessica-Carol: Ok, to still be bitter over a 3 dollar loan from middle school is little wacky side. They may not be total lunatics, but I’m not sure I would nominate them to be the poster children for good mental health either. Jessica, to her credit, at least waited a couple months before falling for someone in the house unlike some of our other inmates errrr… house guests.

Zach: This dude is just weird. No one likes him. The whole thing with him digging the bunny suit really kinda creeped me out. Nice guy, class act, but weird, really weird. If they found a body in his freezer someday, I’m not sure I’d be surprised.

Eric:Eric was a little wacky. I would probably classify him more as odd than crazy. Don’t get me wrong he has some issues but then who doesn’t? Right?
![]() |
Dustin: He wore the same gray t-shirt almost every single day. We may have some consistency issues here. The fact that he ended up with a guy like Joe probably implies some serious underlying problems. One the surface though he seemed like a decent enough guy.

Jameka: Everything is preordained by God, I am God’s slave, taste God, taste God! Nice lady, maybe just a little too zealous though. At least her heart was always in the right place.

Daniele: Hasn’t spoken to her crazy father in two years (can’t really blame her for that one). Fell for Nick after only 2 weeks throwing her live-in boyfriend/finance of two years, you know the only person who ever really cared about her, under the bus. Threw away all of her power in the house for a misguided attempt to avenge Nick’s eviction, the guy she voted to evict. She has some serious issues. The problem with her relationship with her Dad is not all his doing. She’s pretty immature. Not a complete wack job like her boyfriend Nick but definitely could stand to spend some serious time on a shrink’s couch.

Joe: Cheated on Dustin then blamed it on him and destroyed all of Dustin’s relationships and slept with his best friend to get back at him. He outright admitted he “ruined that boys life.” Joe might need a little assistance to work out those passive aggressive issues of his.

Dick: Dick. What can I say about Dick. Probably a lot. Family therapy would probably be good for him but before he even gets there he has some major anger and guilt issues to deal with first. The way he would just verbally lash out at people. Early on I thought this was random but as the season wore on you could tell he would work himself up into a frenzy first. I know some of it was game play, but not all of it. The guilt trips and manipulation he pulled on Daniele are enough to drive any kid away. And of course, lets be honest he’s a forty something year old guy who dyes his hair red and wears black nail polish. If that isn’t a bit odd I don’t know what is. Despite all of this there were a few people in this house who still had him beat.

Amber: She cries everytime… well, pretty much anything happens. Thinks of her dog is her other child. She hates Jews. Considered sexual favors to garner votes. Lies to her boyfriend about how many abortions she’s had to hurt him. (Missed the last three? You had to sign up for the live feeds to see this.) Thinks she is cover model material and suddenly developed deep religious insights when God granted her visions.

Nick: Fell in completely love with a complete stranger in what? about a week. Gave her the ‘key’ to his heart. Then he pulled a Brittany and shaved his head before being evicted. I think Nick may be a little on the crazy side. You know, like stalker, in the bushes with night vision goggles crazy.

Jen: Wow. Jen wins the prize for super psycho. Crying over her picture during the first episode was only the beginning. Taking down pictures of her Mom because she didn’t like the way she looked in them. Obssessing over, well… herself. Destroying Dicks cigarettes. Shall we go on? I find her more than a little frightening. Good luck to her future husbands.

Big Brother 9 Application Questionable Questions | Wild Bluff Media : Entertainment Examined
November 29th, 2007 at 9:02 am[...] nut-case or more importantly violently dangerous. Come on, last season I would say the majority of the house guests had some major issues they probably could use some counseling on. Danielle and her Dad, well, even just Dick. Nick fell [...]

The worst year yet and I think my last…..I refused to watch the last episode.

Duh! It’s not “just a game”. There is $550,000 at stake here, plus the bonuses in between. I vote for Dick to win Why? I am for a reconciliation between him and his daughter. From watching them, Danielle is more likely to take the half of million and walk away from her dad while I believe Dick, in spite of himself, has been the one reaching out for a reconciliation.

The lesson for the Joe/Dustin and Jessica/Carol duos, you can’t divide and conquer in this instance, besides, it is always best to forgive and forget.

I predict that Dick & Daniele will snub the jury people at the “wrap party” and concentrate on Nick & Mike, maybe Joe, and will not give the other houseguests any time at all! Dick (with the 2 security guards he has requested) will play out his dream of being ” a rock star” after he wins the $500,000.
Daniele will be so mad at her Dad for using HER (as an excuse) to WIN the big money and will never speak to him…unless he offers to pay for things..a new car, college, a free trip to Europe…as soon as the money is gone ..Dani will split!

I think Daddy will give it to his daughter.
