Big Brother 8

Tonight on Big Brother 8 we’ll finally learn who will be crowned the big winner. Will it be Dick or Daniele Donato? Does it really even matter with $550,000 going to the same family? Should Dick win I’d fully expect the money to be split. Should Daniele win I’d fully expect her to split. We’ll find out soon enough, so let’s get right into it!

The jury has gathered back at the sequester and Zach walks in just mid-sentence as Jen expresses her wishes to see Dick walk in. Everyone is disappointed at Zach’s arrival and to rub salt in his wounds Eric points out that if Zach had made it to the end he would have won 6-1. Well I’m sure that made Zach feel a whole lot better. Before the group really gets into it we learn that America has one last mission for Eric. His marching orders are to ensure Dick is our winner tonight, just as I expected. From what the jury has said so far that might be a tough job to accomplish.

BB8 Dick

Zach gets the round table started by raising the obvious point of how Dick attacked everyone and they should send back a message that it wasn’t alright. Dustin follows that with the comment that if they vote for Dick they’d condone the behavior. Everyone seems to be more focused on picking Daniele because she’s not Dick, rather than picking Daniele because she’s the better player. Not the wisest jury if that’s how they’re going to decide. Eric steps up to the challenge and slams Daniele as a whiny brat that rode her father’s coattails while Dick worked hard to succeed. It would be interesting to hear what Eric really thought if this was just motivated by his America’s Player responsibility. The hate fest goes on around the circle for a few more times before segueing over to the interviews between the jury and the final two.

BB8 Daniele

The questions from the jury are pretty useless and disappointing. Dustin was up first and asks what Dick thinks of Daniele’s comments that she would love to be sitting next to her father in the end because of everyone’s dislike for him. Dick doesn’t take the bait and replies that he wouldn’t want to be there with anyone else. Amber rambles on about Daniele ditching her real world boyfriend, which prompts the appropriate response of “my personal life has nothing to do with this game.” Daniele then tells her she doesn’t want Amber’s vote if that’s how she’s deciding. Nice of Amber to continue her theme of adding nothing to this game. Jessica asks Dick to name one other person he’d put next to him in the finals. Again, Dick states he only ever wanted to be there with Daniele. Eric points out to Dick that he slandered every member of the jury and gives him the chance to make it up by saying something nice about each of them. Dick instead continues to knock each player except for Eric and Zach, claiming all the rest played poor games. Zach poses to both players a request to hear what they’d take away from each player in the game. We get a bunch of nonsense answers, fitting for a nonsense question. Come on jury! Drill them on their game and why they should win over the other. I guess it’s tough when neither player is willing to fight against the other.

Dick and Daniele both get to make a final argument in their favor. Daniele keeps the love fest going on by asking the jurors to vote how their heart guides them and she’ll be content. Dick goes a bit stronger and says he played this game hard and fought the whole way. He goes on to state the truth when he says he ended up doing the dirty work for both Donatos. This comment angered Daniele and though they didn’t allude to it in the broadcast it was the cause of over a day of near silence between the two. Dick repeatedly apologized to Daniele who blamed him for “campaigning against her” and for the being the reason she was going to lose. Lovely to the very end.

It’s time to jump to the present as we watch all the jury members parade out. Amber actually manages to clap for herself. Now each juror will place their key/vote. Eric is up first and says this was a clear cut choice. Jameka is next and says her vote will be going to “possibly someone whose game I respect.” Possibly? I hope she checked which key she decided to pick! Dustin places his vote and says his vote is based on strategic actions, not just words. Jen says she doesn’t want to vote for either of them, but she has to. Zach says his vote was based on knowing each of them personally and competitively. Amber wanders up and says she’s basing her vote on “game strategic purpose.” If you can translate that one for me you win a prize! Lastly a very tanned Jessica comes up and says she’s going to vote for the person she enjoyed most in the house.

Before we get the results the America’s Player twist is revealed. Everyone takes this surprisingly well considering the effect he had on the game and player’s survival. Dustin even laughs at the news of America’s vote that lead to his eviction. I was glad to see that even Jessica takes it well and keeps smiling for most of the America’s Player montage. It looks like this won’t have too big of an influence on their relationship, so that’s good. Okay, this portion of the show goes on and on and ends with a long rambling apology from Eric to Jessica. For a moment there I thought Eric was about to pull a Boogie and propose to Jessica! Phew, he didn’t. Now it’s time to move on to the results of the big vote!

The Final Vote:
Eric/America: Dick
Jameka: Daniele
Dustin: Dick
Jen: Daniele
Zach: Dick
Amber: Dick
Jessica: Dick

Dick is the winner of Big Brother Season 8 by a vote of 5-2. Congratulations to both Donatos, but especially to Dick. So I guessed the winner right, but I was off by just one vote (4-3 vs 5-2). Dick says he’s ready to take his money and head off on a round-the-world vacation, presumably with his daughter I’d guess. If you want to see more of this winning duo Chenbot will have them both on the Early Show tomorrow morning.

Thanks again to all our readers. We had a great time covering the show this season and look forward to the next round!

The show this year was manipulated by producers and unbelievably unfair. Reality TV may not be that real, but all the blatant violations of rules were just too much.

But according to the FCC Big Brother is a scripted television drama, similar to WWE pro wrestling. It’s fake and not a real contest. So people liking dick-head and baby dick-head just goes to show how much the mentality of america has declined to sheer stupidity. Cheers!
