Update: Click here for our recap of tonight’s season 8 finale
We’ve finally come to the end of another season of Big Brother. Tonight the juror decides who gets the half million dollars Dick Donato or Daniele Donato. What I want to hear is if or how they split the money after the season ends. Dick sounds like he is looking to split the $550,000 evenly. Daniele on the other hand, doesn’t quite sound so excited about handing her Dad a pile of cash if she is the one that wins. Either way, the money is likely to strain their newly repaired relationship. I’m actually hoping that Dick wins. To be honest, I don’t like the guy. I don’t like his tactics. Basically Dick is, well… a Dick. But for all that, over the course of the season, at least where his daughter is concerned, he has managed to convince me that his heart is in the right place. Daniele on the other hand, is immature, and a conniving little, bi… you know what I mean. Se played hard and won her share of competitions but she used her Dad to do all of her dirty work for her. Without him there is no chance she would have won. Given a choice I wouldn’t want either of these two anywhere near that money but, faced with having to pick one or the other I would have to go with Dick.
I just can’t believe no one this season other than Mike really stood up to the Donatos this season. Zach said he was going did but, by the time he did, it really didn’t matter any more. Was Dick really that intimidating? I guess Jameka got into Dick’s face with her clapping that one time but, I’m talking about taking a stand against them in some sort of meaningful way in the game, i.e., nominating the two of them. Eric had his chance and blew it. Zach had a chance and blew it. Considering how much the other house guests hated them, I just find it amazing.
I really got hooked on the live online feeds this year. There is so much that goes on in that house that you never get to see in the one hour edited shows. Next season, I am going to sign up week 1. My only suggestion for Big Brother is that next year they should put cameras in the sequester house as well. It would be fun to see how the house guests get along after lying and back stabbing each other.
The other big excitement tonight will be the revelation that Eric has been working for America all season. I’ll can’t wait to see how the other members of the jury react. I liked Eric. Hopefully, they will be able to understand a little better why he did what he did and not think so poorly of him. Looking back on it, I really don’t like the America’s player twist. It really screwed up the game. Without Dick and Daniele would probably have ended up going home instead of winning all that cash. Even though Eric did get forty grand out of the deal, it also really messed up his game. Had he not been America’s Player there is a chance that he could have been sitting in the BB house right now instead of the sequester house. If they ever do another BB All-Star season they will have to bring Dick, Jen, and Eric back.
Get ready for Big Brother 10 with BB10 application and casting call details.
In a few hours, this season will be one for BB record books. Who do you think it’s going to be? Dick or Daniele?
