Get ready for more McLovin as Christopher Mintz-Plasse (McLovin is so much easier to type than all that) readies himself for his second film, Little Big Men. Mintz-Plasse, whose one and only acting bit has been in the recent hit Superbad, will join a well comedic versed cast with Paul Rudd (Knocked Up, Anchorman) and Seann William Scott (American Pie 1 through 16). Cinematical caught a few more details:
According to Mintz-Plasse, though, Little Big Men will now be helmed by Wet Hot American Summer and The Ten director David Wain. The movie’s plot involves two wild and crazy guys who end up sentenced to community service in the form of the Big Brothers mentoring program. Why a judge would think a couple of party boys would be suitable mentors to kids is beyond me (the program does have very strict guidelines against drug users, and I’m sure these guys are probably potheads), but it should at least make for some funny situations.
I missed The Ten, but thought Wain’s Wet Hot American Summer was pretty enjoyable despite leaving me a little unfulfilled. I’ve also been told his work with Stella was good stuff, so now I guess I need to get to it. All the same I’m more than willing to give this one a try when it comes out. The cast looks good and the story sounds as digestible as any other decent comedy that comes down the pipe.
