Jason Reitman, director of the entertaining Thank You For Smoking, returns to directing with Juno, a black comedy with a solid cast. I’m glad to see Cera in another movie, but he’s gotta watch the type casting. Bateman (Cera’s castmate from Arrested Development) and Garner seem like a good match for the needy couple. I’m not familiar with the lead role by Ellen Page, but from the trailer it looks like she’ll do just fine. Don’t miss everyone’s favorite Office worker, but this time he’s working from behind the counter.

Juno - Plot:

Ellen Page stars as Juno MacGuff, a whip-smart teen confronting an unplanned pregnancy by her classmate Bleeker (Michael Cera). With the help of her hot best friend Leah (Olivia Thirlby), Juno finds her unborn child a “perfect” set of parents: an affluent suburban couple, Mark and Vanessa (Jason Bateman and Jennifer Garner), longing to adopt. Luckily, Juno has the total support of her parents (J.K. Simmons and Allison Janney) as she faces some tough decisions, flirts with adulthood and ultimately figures out where she belongs.
